hello, im wanting to replace the 2 door speakers and also the 2 and the rear panels, i was wondering if there is away to replace the speakers in the doors w/o havin to do alot of work, all the pics i have seen people r doin there own custome fiberglassing, im just wanting to take out the stock and put in aftermarket..is it possible, and if so how? same for the rear

 

Just the door speakers is not a problem....get 6 1/2 in speakers as a direct replacement, perhaps a spacer ring if you get a real deep speaker.

Just drill out the rivets (don't roll your windows down, trust me) and then it's a simple swap out.

do not drill out the rivets.... i have a much better method... i might even help you do it since i spend a lot of time in jacktown

you just rip the cone off the front of the stocker and break all the basket "fingers" off the back and drill the holes for your aftermarket in the surrounding plastic, this leaves your speaker out by the grill on the door panel and keeps your window from hitting the magnet

ya that looks pretty simple.. so a 6 1/2 speaker... ok there alot of scion owners that meet up at buffalo wild wings. ive never been but im goin to try and go next time they meet up... i'll keep in touch so if we ever meet up u can see my job on the door speakers..thanks for the pic also
