Default almost wrecked into an a6 last night

so i went to change by brake pads last night for the first time. first i got the wheel off, then realized that my buddy didnt have a c clamp or vice grips big enough to depress the caliper piston, nor did he have air tools. so i went to another friends who has everything necessary to do it. with his help, we were done in 10-15 minutes. so i went to back my car out of his garage, pressed on the brakes and the car kept moving! so i went into panic mode and grabbed the e-brake lol. he was like " oh ya, pump your brakes a few times" haha. scared the crap out of me cause i almost hit his dads a6. that would not have been good. but now my brakes are finally done thanks to janice for providing me with her old stock brakes!

anyone know how to turn off the stupid brake light now?
