Hey all...

So I've been kicking around the idea about retrofits and I'm really digging a retrofit an xA owner did with some Q45 lights... but - how about a complete retrofit kit?

Would anyone be interested in a complete projector retrofit kit?



The kit would include the following:

2 projector housings
2 D2S bulbs (single beam)
2 ballasts
1 wiring harness with fuse and relay wired inline (safety first!)

 

if you could keep the price as low as possible I would definatly be interested

 

yeah- i'd like to keep it as low as possible but depending on my sources, my estimate for the price would be $350-$400...

i'm working on finding something cheaper and something that will also fit in the tC foglight housing.

are they going to be regular ol' valeo/hella projectors, or can you pick out TL projectors, S2000 projectors, etc etc?

I'll plan on doing some testing next month with the projectors so yes, documentation on how to connect everything will be included however vehicle specific instructions won't be included since the application will vary from vehicle to vehicle.

As far as the projector brand/type/vehicle source, I can't confirm anything yet since I'm still trying to find a good quality projector that will also not break the bank for you guys.

Hey all,

Just wanted to let you know that these kits would be for just the projectors, bulbs, ballasts, and wiring harness. Since projectors can basically go in any car, shrouds and actual headlight housings will not be offered to ensure a wider
variety of compatibility.

The bulb type most likely will be international standard d2s bulb.

im interested... now is this for the actual headlights or for just the fog lights (i read that you mentioned doing the same thing for tC's but with the fog lights)?

 

either or. You can retro into the fogs if they're big enough.

 

Cool. Most projectors will be too small for an xA but those look perfect for a tC. They already make projector headlights for an xB. Hope everything works out for you.

 

What's retro fitting?

 

Retro fitting is the process of modifying your factory headlight housing to fit the projector housing pictured above.

To do this, you have to open up your headlights, cut out a larger hole in the back of the reflective housing, fit in your projector, check your aiming, secure it in place (some use jb weld) and then reseal the headlight with the projector inside.
