Hey all,

I'm still doing some testing. Will show some pics if I can get a prototype working well. If not, back to the drawing board.

I'll keep you all posted.

Question, When you cut the larger hole will the "chrome" plating peel or flake off on the inside of the housing?

depends on the bulb housing. for our toyotas, i haven't ever seen the "chrome" plating peel off but then again, I usually see people primer and then paint the reflector area to show off the projector and shrouds more.

Good point, I guess you really don't need a reflective backround with these.

hey guys, I've got great news, I may be able to get the price down to around the $325 area...

I'm still fiddling around with diff setups and making sure I can get a bulk of these reliably before offering them up for ordering.

As far as what will be included, all headlights differ in size and shape and since that is the case, the only piece that will be the same across all retrofit setups will be the projector and bulb/ballast setup. the shrouds and extra reflectors should you need them will need to be customized for vehicle's particular application.

I should have more info by the end of the week. wish me luck guys.

oh - sorry for the mix up guys... i meant to say that since the shrouds needed for your particular vehicle's headlight housing will be vary from project to project, they will not be included.

The only items included will be:

2 projector housings
2 D2S bulbs
2 Ballasts to power the bulbs
1 Wiring harness with relay/fuse wired inline to hook up the ballasts to your battery.

the projector type depends... i'm still testing and will try to post photos tonight. I have two friends overseas who are looking for other projector types just in case I can't get these to work out.

as far as the shrouds are concerned, a retrofit project is a really diy intensive project and shrouds can be made of anything circular. I've seen them being fabricated by using modified stove top grease catchers to people using modified lamps from their house. I know that sounds totally crazy but they do it.

Right now the main hurdle is finding a good quality projector... if I cannot find them, I'll simply offer a deal on the D2S HID Kit which would include everything except for the projector housing.

I'll keep you posted.

just wanna let you guys know that i've stopped researching this, (for now) since i haven't been able to find a projector that works well. i was hoping to offer a cheaper alternative to the popular projectors out there but haven't been able to find one that I like and feel comfortable selling.

So - if I find a projector in the future, I'll let you guys know.

Thanks all for the interest.

Default update!!

Hey all - been doing a lot of testing and here's what I have so far...

Lightened image so you can see what's beyond the light...

Same pic but untouched to show the great cutoff line...

Some of the projectors I've been testing... 4 different types in all.

Close up shot - great quality pieces...

Lining up a bunch of samples... great products but I didn't like the open housing.

Fronts of the same projectors...
