i bought my 06 xb used and it didnt have the cable to connect to the ipod plug. can i order that somwhere on line or do i have to go to the dealership.i am using the aux. jack but dont really like it . thanks

Do you have the iPod head unit?

Without that HU (has the rotary volume dial) the cable won't help connect your pod. If you have that HU, I would guess that you already have the two connectors in your console...one for Aux in and the other for iPod connection.

Then that cable would be the final link to connect. Dealer only part I'm afraid.

The stock 06 stereo has a plug for your iPod just behind the shifter (under the emergency brake if you have a manual).

You can use any standard iPod audio connecter. I bought mine at the Apple store but other stores sell them as well.

 

I would like to hook my shuffle up to my xa 06 stock HU. What should I buy to hook it up to the HU?

 

^^It all depends on the HU you have in the xA. Does it have the volume dial in the center of the HU? If so, then it is just a simple aux cable you can buy from Best Buy. Looks like two headphone jacks on each end. Mine was 20 bucks or something like that.
