Default Renouncing Scion....

Well my journey with scion has been very rough to say the least....

From day one, it was off to a bad start. Scion went and ruined the surprise of me getting my car by calling the house the day before graduation and thanking me for my purchase of a scion tC even though my mother intended it as a graduation gift. So I had to act surprised when she pulled up in the parking lot to give me the keys... it really sucked.... thanks scion number one. And what did they end up doing about completely F%^$# my birthday/graduation gift? JACK CRAP

Ok I got over it..., went on my merry way, and enjoyed my scion right?

Wrong.... First, I am run into by two pickup trucks.
Ok fine... my car is away for 3 weeks being repaired....
At least its not Scions fault.

So I GET IT BACK AGAIN.. Oh boy oh boy. I couldn’t wait to drive it.

** In come transmission issues**
Ok fine I take my car into power scion... not only do they _____ at me for my header but they take a whole day fixing a simple issue....
Thank god, it was under warranty

So I get it back again... this time I think I am set

WRONG!

As both Zach and Scott know... my car was running fine right before the Sedona run. The day of I go to start it. and no start... hmmm checks the battery nope... check the vacuum hoses... nope... oil? Nope... hmmm... so I finally get it turned over... and what does it do... spit black smoke... a fireball and then... dead... to put it in Zach’s words “wow I have never seen a N/A car do this". So I spend at least 2 days trying to fix the problem.... countless dollars and time... and I cant begin to fix it... so I drive it... in its battered started... BACK to scion.....

Well my cars at the dealership right now getting something, which amounts to a heart transplant on some components of the engine....

It is under warranty thank god... because none of my "mods" could have possibly caused this problem...

I’m waiting AGAIN to get my car back... it’s in the shop more than I drive it

I thought I bought a Toyota... I certainly did not get one

IM VERY ____ED OFF... I don’t want an other jada tC i want my REAL tC to work... is that to much to ask?

End rant.

maybe its just me, but you got hit by TWO trucks, correct? that tends to make cars not start. even though it was repaired, i think its still fuxxed up from that.

again BJ i'm sorry to hear about this, you've had the worst luck with this car. Power scion dropping the ball and calling you before you got the car as a gift really sucks, if i was a parent i would be ____ed if my kid found out.

As far as the rear ends from the trucks, I didnt know that you could order a 1,000,000 gigawatt magnent to be installed from the factory as a mod to attract trucks.

I've already talked to you about what happened with the transmission problem which if what the tech said is true wan't a problem with the car, but was a major problem for him to talk down to you the way he did and not handle himself professionally.

This whole business you have now with the throttle body being broken and flapping all over or whatever.....WTF is that. Like the tech at the dealer said i've never heard of that and especially on a new car.

All I have to say is at least you haven't had the luck that Troy had with his sunroof imploding and hopefully it doesn't get worse. I wonder if Scion could let you trade it in straight across for another tC with a hex or a curse on it

I hope you get your car back soon and that you're taken care of so that you stay within our Scion community and don't go get that Z you were talking about.

I am only going to say one bad thing about your post, cry me a frigen river regarding the graduation gift....I got a hand shack, a well done, and a little bit of cash to help me through the summer. You should be thankful you got a car, it's not that big of a deal you didn't get to be surprised on your birthday/graduation day. You were pretty surprised when they called you, right!!!! Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. I hope I didn't upset anyone, but some kids today expect the world to be given to them.

As far as the problems are concerned, that really sucks!!! I would imagine if you take it up with corporate, they might be able to do something for you. Ask Mark, see what he thinkgs. It seems as though CB is the only dealer in town that doesn't treat us like crap. Thanks Mark.

Again, sorry for ranting on your graduation gift problem , but you should be thankful that your parents were able to get it for you. They should be the ones mad at Scion for ruining the surprise.

Good luck with the car, I hope it all works out!!!!

I understand that, but it was still an unbelievable gift. I am not saying that all that is going on with your car doesn't suck and Scion isn't handling it right, but you were still really happy you got it with help from the folks, right? All I am saying is think about what's important, that part...not that important. The rest, really important and crappy. With that said, I hope I didn't ____ you off. If I did, sorry. Realized later I cam across a little strong.

Most guys your age are given everything to them and don't appreciate what they have. I commend you for working and getting it yourself. My dad had my brother and sister by the time he was 20, so when I came along his philosophy was I should have to work for what I want. I am thankful they paid for my tuition, but the rest was up to me.

On the part of the dealer, if they dont fix your car take it up with Scion Corp. That was complete crap that they would ruin the suprise and then not be able to properly repair the car.
