Speaking of bad situations, how's your ride Soros? Any word on who jacked it up? I am hopefully rolling to PR in a few months for work. Some training of our accounts, again. Some of my guys went down there a couple months ago.

No word, but I was followed by a weird guy some days ago. Are you part of Scion Evolution?

No, I work for a company that supplies a few stores down there. Once or twice a year we need to train their employees how to fit for golf clubs. Makes for a nice vacation though.

He told me how when his mom showed it to him how he had to act surprised but couldnt pull it off so his mom said "i thought you would be more surprised" and then he had to tell her. I would feel horrible for my mom if she tried to do something like that and expected a certain reaction from me and I couldnt give it to her. As the parent i would be furious that I did something that special for my son who was an awesome student and a great succesful person and it was really screwed up and I was robbed of my delite of seeing his face when I present it to him.

I understand where you are coming from as well Kyle with kids expecting a car when they graduate or turn 16 and then not appreciating it. I didn't get a car for my graduation or 16th bday but my sister did for her 16th bday, she was a lot better student than I was though and also truly appreciated it. BJ bringing up the issue of POWER SCION messing up the surprise to me is a BIG thing to add onto his list of issues he has had with his Scion and the beginning of his curse so I do not blame him for mentioning it.

I'm not trying to upset attack you either, just want to get you a better understanding of BJ's standpoint and maybe help you put yourself in his moms shoes (don't really think they would fit but think figureatively ) and how you would feel if that happend to you as a parent. Thats all

Glad you got it all fixed BJ!

So glad you dont have to drive all the way over to Glendale to pick up me so you can have me check out your car....

haha I find it funny that your MAF Sensor was bad. After I do believe I said it was the MAF about 10 times to you in that 3 hours span saturday night! Hell, I even checked the voltage to the MAF itself and it was getting a low voltage reading.

As for the Throttle Body Plate, that is unheard of. When we had the intake off, I auctally pressed down on the plate and it didnt seem like it was a problem, then again it was probably getting a weak signal from the ECU itself.

Well in any case I'm glad you got your car up and running bro!

that sux about all the problems on the brand new car... i woulda tried the lemon laws on the car... dosent sound very safe... but ima hafta agree on the grad present thing... how much did your parents throw down on the car?

i pay for my 06 xB all on my own... 2500 downpayment and all... and i bought it while i was still in HS at the beginning of my senior year... my GF's dad co signed my loan for me bcuz my parents are on the verge of bankrupcy... ill also be going to college for graphic design come september... i like ot think of myself as very succesful early on in my life and im very proud of the fact that i dont rely on my parents for everything that i have.

sorry if that sounds mean... its not... just a touchy subject for me

*sigh* whether his mom bought him a car, a toaster, a puppie, or a hooker.....the point was that Scion ruined the surprise for him and his mom.

How bout we drop the "kids that get cars as gifts must not appreciate anything" topic and stay more focused on how this poor guy has having some of the worst luck I know of with a new car ' :D

ok, here is my take on this.

Sorry you have had so many issues with the car. That sucks. But it sounds like they are getting it fixed. You do realize they can void a warranty for just about anything. So them taking care of you with having aftermarket parts on the car is a plus. Glad to see they stepped up and fixed everything for you.
Now on the suprise issue. Yeah it sucks they ruined the suprise. Did they know it was a suprise? Most likely not. I think it is awesome of a dealership to call and say thanks on the purchase. There is so many times I have bought cars and not even got a thank you when I have left the dealership. Mind you I have gone through 23 cars. They dont "owe" you nothing for calling and saying thanks for buying the car. That is just a good call on there side.

They can't void your warranty for nothing unless they prove that the aftermarket part did the damage, which I doubt is the case here.

Lets get over the whole surprise you got a car thing!!! Really that is not the point here. If it was such a huge point it would have been brought up before and defended like it is here.

Im sorry BJ that you are having such problems with your vehicle and it truely sucks that it is back in the shop again. If you had such a bad experience in the past with Power then take your vehicle and your business to CB where we have people like Bryan, Mark, JP and Ron there to help watch over our cars and make sure the work is done correctly and just the fact they care about us. Who at Power has ever taken on moment to post here online or been a friend to the community or bought us lunch or dinner? See what I mean, just cause your car came from Power doesnt mean you have to have it serviced there??

Why dont you say that to Subaru?? You would be surprised what a dealer can and will do. While right now Scion might and prolly will fix the cars it is just a matter of time before they change your thoughts with all the mods going on these engines.

Even better when you buy an Evo and go to track for a little fun they write yoru plate down and void your warranty on the spot so when u take it you get a surprise that you warranty has been voided.
