I am disappointed about the ribbons (that still had the price tag of 39 cents on them), but I was a more upset about having us out there that early, pay $30, park us in the gravel and have EVERYONE haul ___ around in the golf carts and KICK UP THE DIRT. Now the kicker, there were NO vendors out there to have food or drinks for us to purchase. I would have gladly spent the money to have some food/ drink. If it wasn't for Big TwoScion, we wouldn't have had anything. Thanks to them for bringing WATER and SWAG!
I had fun hanging with everyone but all in all, a little disappointed at the whole day.
Congrats to the winners, especially Keoki for his first win!

Kyle I think the issue was that the show was really low standards for having to pay $30 to enter it.

Shows put on by the dealerships that don't charge an entry fee put more into it then they did.

I mean when you pay the money and your prize for the top spot is worth 1% of what you paid then something is not right.

I also heard that they were going to get their money back from Firebird for booking another show. Don't know if that's true but that's what I heard. If that's the case do we get our $30 back minus the .39 for our ribbon?lol

Sorry to hear about that. I was over at the other show shooting for a magazine..... Sounds like it was a good time hanging out with friends, but some work needs to be done to make it better. Im sure they will read this and take your thoughts and concerns into consideration.

Then maybe sending Jim suggestions through PM or email would be a better way to go then bashing his first show online. All I am saying is put yourself in his shoes...first show ever throwing, wanting to do his best and things out of his control get messed up...like the trophies...like the double booking. Maybe send him some ideas on ways he can improve the show for next time...just my $0.02 worth.

im going to agree with KoolAiD, Jim tried his best to make this a good show for all. ya there was some issues, ya it sucks that our first time getting first place is shown by a ribbon, and that there was no food on site. but jim is a great guy and he has some really good things in the works. first shows will almost always have problems, its how you learn to make them better. so i WILL be going to his next event, giving him the chance he deserves to make it better. i hope to see all or most of you there so we can HANG out again and enjoy the culture we all choose to be part of.

Guess who I ran into, well sort of. This Jim guy. He is in my saltwater / coral reef hobby & trying to open store. He ripped one of our members off and for some reason I had a gut feeling it was the same guy.. psychic stuff I tell you. I actually forgot about this crap concerning this show. Even though this is ridiculously long ago, the more I thought about those stupid 39 cent ribbons & the other BS & lies... the more it ____ed me off. I realized this guy is just a smooth talker and that is it. The guy promised to get all of us our awards that we worked for, promised me directly and then he dropped off the map and never responded to anything. Hell at least a "sorry I screwed up big time" would have been nice.

Anyways found this clown & told him he needs to man up and give us what we are owed *LOL* I do not care of this was a long time ago, but a promise is a promise. Stupid 39 cent ribbons hahaha. Still makes me laugh at least. Hell, at least refund Denise and my wife for the cash his wife ripped them off for "I did not speak about my wife being ripped off, again was more level headed back then" But it was cash that was not his to take.

Anyways thought you guys might find it funny / interesting.

what upset us the most about the show was, Amber worked the night before for 12 hrs, and came straight to the show after work. We paid the 40 for the xA to show, then had to fork over even more cash for Amber to park the xB after she arrived. So we spent all this money to come to the event and felt we were pooped on. After that show, Amber will never do a show right after work again.
