So on our way to Tucson Friday afternoon, for the Saturday show, unbeknownst to me, my right rear tire started seperating. I didn't run anything over on the way down so I have no clue how the tire started to seperate. So at the show Saturday, I air up the car to clean my wheels and there is a good chunk missing out of my tire.

I get on the text with Jason (aka raceking), I'm at the show, he's at work and see if he can find me a tire dealer for my tires in Tucson. He didn't have interweb access so I get a hold of Byron (Vertex) and he finds me 6 dealers in Tucson. We call 'em all and no one has Nexen tires in stock in Tucson, only in Sierra Vista. ******! Ok guess I'm gonna have to roll the donut back to Phoenix at 55. Problem is the donut has already been used on Michele's XB and has a lot of miles on the donut. Now to think, which is the lesser of two evils?

Jason then texts me from his work and says hes got a set of stockies at his Dad's place.
Now I gotta procure one wheel. Byron shows up at the show and then ____ing volunteers his time to go pick up the wheel.

So prior to the end of the show, I pull the wheel off and poop a twinkie. Someone was looking out for me, plain & simple.

So much props to SA's Tucson members, way to come together for me and Michele and help us out. Jason & Byron, I owe you one.

Hey man if you didnt know there is a hole in your tire...U might want to get that addressed quickly before a cricket moves in there

 

That is cool, glad you got it taken care of and didnt have any other issues.

 

Im am very happy to hear that the tire didnt blow and cause major damage. Much love there with the Tucson crew. Good job guys. Get that tire fixed asap and maybe inspect the other 3. Maybe send a pic to Nexen and show them so maybe they can look into that being a possible problem for future tires.
