Default Windshield Issues

I just bought a Scion xB. While driving down the road the other day, with the heat on the windshield all of a sudden cracked, going down the center and started to go off to the passenger side. I would like to know if this is a common problem. I'd also like to know about any scion xB clubs in particular and the best place to get "cool stuff" for my xB.

Thank you!

Welcome to the world fo boxes!! We have notorious problems with our windshields. Some folks are on their third or forth. We attribute that to it being straight up. Use the search function for "windshield" and you will find a lot of posts on the subject. As to where to get cool stuff--Look at the parts section of this site and you will get some ideas. Or go to www.newscionparts.com or other dealer sites. There are also a lot of sponsors on this site that have things to offer. Good luck to you and sorry about your windshield...

Hey Welcome to the Scion world!

I'm Drew and i also own a Scion xB. We have a Scion club here in alaska the one and only! our site is still under construction but theres also a local forum you're welcome to join as well. WWW.Akscionclub.net we currently have about 15-20 members and cars as well. We Meet up about once a month and usually meet up at the Scion Dealership and then take a drive around town and usually grab a bite to eat. for the month of July its on the 23rd at Gallos or i think Lamex one of the two the info is on the site as well. and we'd love for you to join!

As for the windsheild dilemma all we can say is "Welcome to the club" jpjp yeah everyone in the club up here has some sort of rock damage especally thanks to break up season. but if you're interested in getting a new one i know Badger Glass off Potter Rd here in Anchorage has the cheapest quote in town at around $250.00 compared to $500.00 around town. that is if you're interested.

As for parts best way would be online but i know we have a member on the club that works at a car alarm/audio place around. so maybe he could help you out also.

Welcome to the Club! and the Site!
