Default Clearcoat on PW xB

I was reading a post on Scionati.com and one of the guys said that there wasn't a clearcoat on the Polor White xB's, and that's why you see so many chips in the paint on them. Is this true or is this just his guess? Can somebody help me out with this??

Thanks Andrew

I don't think any cars are out there anymore that don't have a clear coat finish. I know the TCMs, Envy Greens, and I think the Lavas had a three step finish compared to the normal two step finish.

OK to put the whole clearcoat rumor on the PW's to rest. I just called Toyota and the lady said the all but the RS's have a 2 step clearcoat and the RS's have the 3 step. She also said that I can go to a Toyota Body shop and have the chips in the paint fixed under the 5-year Paint and something else I can't think of it right now warrenty. So that makes me a bit happier

The RS2 is NOT a three step paint job. The TCM and the RS1 and RS3 are. Basically it is the metalics that have the extra process.

+1

If this was the case, you know how many times a Scion would be in the body shop due to tailgating on a regular basis?
