being chicago, there are a plethora of events for new years -- for the over 21 crowd. anything particular you are interested in doing? -- pub crawling, VIP club treatment, hotel bash?

best bet would be heading to Metro.
they have an 18 and older rockin event on NYE. i believe the new pornographers, rouge wave and the Ms will be playing. it starts at 9pm and its $60 for the entire evening.
not sure if there are still tickets available.
