I couldn't help but notice that the weather was miserable my entire weekend up there.

 

No, it's usually pretty nice, this unusual rain is due to remnants of hurricane Ike I believe.

It has been really miserable, I had to deliver pizzas the past 2 nights in the rain and then drive 3 hours in it back down to school. It sucked, and alot of roads were closed in my area due to being underwater making it pretty difficult to deliver in.

 

Yea, this was unusual. It stopped raining around 4 this afternoon.
Blame it on Ike.

Friend of mine suggested to come up when I said I wanted to go somewhere for the weekend, so it all worked out nicely. Free place to stay, and I got to see Great Big Sea at the Celtic fest you guys were having (even though it was pouring).

I actually followed Ike up; the weather was perfect for driving most of the way, and then I caught up with the pouring rain... and then I caught up with traffic on 55. Seriously, it was like 7pm on Friday, and it took me 45 minutes to go 10 miles on 55. What the hell?

 

Yea, well it's finally sunny here, although, due to the flooded streets, it took me 40 minutes to get to work this morning. I live 2 miles from work. Ugh.

 

Took me 1.5 hours to get to work! I live in Northlake but I work all the way near Morton Grove...
I also have a leaking roof on my house, so I need the roofer to come out ASAP later on this week!

 

i had a 2.5 hr drive to work, which is an hour longer than normal because apparently, indiana is full of morons.

yea bro its normally not that bad ever here, fuggin hurricanes ruining our city and all the flooding here. Y can't tehy just stick to the southern states and leave us alone!!! We get snow, they get hurricanes. Even trade.

Oh well, it better not be that crappy when I'm up there next month.

 

I'll fire rockets into the sky to ensure that it doesn't rain next month... it worked for the Chinese, why not here?

 

glad you enjoyed our crappy traffic. I used to love hittin the highways at night. but now there is always a traffic jam somewhere. especially where I live. jammed every day of the week. I hate driving around Chicago now
