Default Auto Tint Shop in Houston?

Does anyone have a recommendation on a good Auto Tint place in Houston, Tx (Northwest Houston if possible). I want to get my Scion xA tinted when it is delivered in a few weeks.

Also, anyone know how much a good tint job should cost?

If no one knows a good tint place, any ideas on how to choose reputable shop.

I want them to do a good job with the tint and NOT scratch up my car or interior.

Thanks,

I use Tomball Tinters and they do awesome work. I have used them for over 20 years and have never had a problem.. They tinted my two fronts with 35% and it cost me I think $55. My girlfriend had her Toyota Matrix tinted at the same time, and she got the limo tint 5% all the way around and 35% on the fronts and I think it cost her $175..don't quote me on the prices, I just know I paid like $225 after taxes for both. Toyota wanted to charge $199 to tint the whole car and they would only go 35%. I hope this helps. Tomball Tinters has 2 locations the one in Tomball is off of 249 in Tomball, right across the street from Wal-Mart. The other location is off of 1960 near Kuykendahl.

i went to extreme tinting on 249 and 1960 and they did a good job. 35 on sides and 15 in back. it costed about 130 after taxes. 3 yr waranty i think. and if they mess up or u dont like it they strip it off and redo it.

Does Tomball Tinting provide any sort of warranty?

Is there a particular brand of tinting for the film that I should be looking for?

Thanks,b

They have a lifetime warranty and the brand of tint that they use is Llumar.

Thanks. I really appreciate the information. Is Llumar a good brand of tint?

I've never had a car tinted before.

As far as I know it is. I have had my cars and trucks tinted by Tomball Tinters over the last 20 years and I have never had a problem with them. They have obviously been around for a long time so your warranty will be valid for a long time as well. Just tell them you had a friend that came in and had a Matrix done in limo tint and the fronts done on an xB and that they referred you. I am sure they will give you a deal, and they are pretty fast. It took less than 30 minutes to do the fronts and like an hour and a half for the Matrix.

The best people ever. Stereo-EFX
$99 and you can get 35,20,5% and its VERY good quality. Just say you got the deal from Houston-Imports.

Its not that purple crap its one of the cleanest there is.

The guys that did mine are called Sun-Lite Solutions. They are off of 290 and Hollister area. David is the guys name.
He did a great job on mine. Very reasonable on the price too. I've got an xB. Check my pics there should be some where you can see the windows.
I can get you a number for him if you are interested. This stuff is not suppose to turn purple either. I cant rember the name brand of tint.
Go to this thread and see some pics of my xB's windows
