Then join. Or to be fair you can look at the stylewagons. Me and my wife looked at both and ended up with scikotics. But it's your choice.

i think he means in his area there really isnt a club of scions.... an if i was him i would look into starting a scion club around that area for scion owners to check out an get things started... u can make your own club/team or join an exisiting one an go from there... talk to the scion dealers an see if they can help u get one started. an some events started for scion owners around your town. an let us know how that goes so we can try an get up there for it... to show some support for u.

If you are going to look at joining Stylewagons I hope you have a good bit done to your xB. If you are totally stock or more you can join scikotics...

Just remember you have to be ASKED to join Stylewagons, if you arent up to it to build a car worthy enough then just join a different club... I hang out with the Stylewagons crew alot and there cars are sweet... I am not in to it for the same reason they are, but the love they show to their car shows through in the car they drive. I am sry, but if you are gonna give me crap about it then go ahead, I am just tired of seeing the Stylewagons vs. Scikotics... You wanna know the difference, and its flat out, It takes a LOT of work to get into Stylewagons, and you can see that in alot of the Scikotics, in OK, but all you need to do to be in Scikotics is drive a Scion, it doesnt matter how stock it is or how pimp it is. I am sry, but the truth is, you need standards to make it into Stylewagons...

I was thinking about starting a tC only club, but unfortunately there arent too many tCs in the area that would be up to it, and not to mention I am SURE there are not that many looking to go the same way I am. I am just not into shows to much anymore after I had a show PT cruiser.

i can see some of what your saying is true.... an yes i agree wit many things your said.... because its mainly all about SCION.. an i dont think its SCIKOTICS vs STYLEWAGONS it doesnt even apply what the guy who generally started this thread it just went from there... where all different an we come wit different things to bring to the table... stylewagons are great guys who love to build their own scion up an there a small group thats y your have to be asked to join....... scikotics is a NATION WIDE scion club just like scion evolution an scioNRG .... which gets alot of scion owners a chance to hang out togther as a whole an u just have to own a scion to get in. im pretty sure many owners want to do more than just have their ride an just leave it stock thats y one of the scikotics members where talking wit each other about havin a club for higher pimped out rides... like stylewagons for the ones who love to put more into there cars an want to show it off.... im sure many other states have small scion clubs within them an do thier own thing..

So then my question is, why not build a car and try to get into one of the smaller more "involved" clubs, then to try and make something out of something so big? People join Large clubs before they think about what it is about. Then they try and do things that the club as a whole is not looking to do, this is what breaks clubs apart.

You could also do what I do. Forget a club, just hang out with them. I know for a fact that people in scikotics hang out with people in Stylewagons, BUT there is a difference in what each club is about..

Basically what it comes down to is this. If you want a "Team or Club", because they are basically the same thing, to compete for Show trophies Other than just "The most who showed up" trophy, I would suggest starting a new club. Something more along the lines of Stylewagons, but for tCs, or for all Scions.

yeah many scion guys/girls just like to hang out which is cool. cause it gets us all a chance to chill together help out with things they need an give some advice on things u know.. some people just dont look at the BIG picture an rush right into things.. i myself am wit a small group an im lookin for ones who want to do something more to there ride.

thats y i rarely recruit as much as i should, i mean we have guys who like to come out wit us an chill which is perfectly fine. an we get them involved on the events going around town. i dont like to get big an than have the whole club have different opinions an things like that. an than split up between sides. if u think your alone in malakoff or where ever sorry if i misspelled the name. i think u should look into making your own team and get help from the dealerships an talk around to see who wants to do this. an if u just want to hang out come hang out it's not like where going to tell u bug off or anything like that. we open our arms to u an tell u to come out an hang wit us. just give it a chance. an i know u wont be alone when u hit up the shows.. but i would like to see a tC crew being made besides just square's always taking over lol...

guys, you are both missing one point. he's talking about building a "crew" (club, team..whatever) to go compete in shows against teams like emotion. the problem is that he is asking for anyone who owns a scion, whether moded or not.

the fact is, if you want to compete at that level and get the exposure he's looking for (mags, movies, uhhh's, ahhh's), you HAVE to be moded like crazy. i mean, have you seen those cars??? if not, check them out:

http://www.t-emotion.com/

no offense, but the kid is 19 and thinking of the F&F movies. best advise i can give him is work on your car first, get it to where it would be show worthy, and THEN worry about starting a "crew".

anyway, that's just my opinion.

That isn't the only trophy we go for, that is just our favorite.

True dat! And how many trophies did we take home at Exposed? Besides best club?

It seems to me like what he started this thread about is something that we are already about.

this thread is just going in circles! :?

stevosnewtc, i think you need to go back and rethink your idea, look at what others have done and then decide on a set of rules or whatever, a schematic of sorts. and then go look for your people.

i don't want to lock this thread but it is really just going in circles and people are repeating things and that could lead to frustration. and other stuff may come up.

my head is hurting just trying to figure it all out.

come back here when you have made things more clearer and gotten the specifics down.
(and no im not locking it unless stevosnewtc wants me too or one of my bosses here does it.)

Stevo, a show club is harder to keep going than you imagine. The smartest thing you can do with your new TC is join Scikotics, you will have a club and enough team support thats likes to get wilder than mild. You will have more support, learn more/maybe educate some peeps on your strengths and projects. The social benefits will out weigh the winning of shows, cause there is disappointment in showing too, cause you don't always win.
As far as the SyleWagons go, we do not allow every xB in because we have certain requirement for mods and participation. Not everyone wants to spend money to show their cars, and I am talking entrance fees. One of the biggest thing that knocks a lot of people out of membership is supension modification, or they can't participate as often. It would be rare if ever that we base membership on the person though. We allow all Scion owners to attend our meetings or events and like me join Scikotics for the social aspects.

Man this is making my head hurt too. Like Trevor said we all hang out together, and our clubs have different things going on. If you want to hang then come hang. If you want to start a different type club then do so. You are always welcome at get togethers we have around the metroplex. I hope we see you at shows and events. I agree this is getting confused and it would take a whole other thread to fix this. I don't think anyone is getting mad, I know I'm not. Please don't let this turn you away from the fellowship of this community club or no club.
