I think his car didn't go through the 24-point inspection at the dealership. I'd put my Lucifer suit on, go to the dealership and raise hell.

Even more of a reason why they should've inspected it. What if something was to happen when you were on your way back.....

basically i just got told i was S.O.L.
all they would tell me is that every vehicle goes thru a pre-delivery inspection that only includes fluid level checks...not oil consumption checks

Lake Charles Toyota
337-478-3511...feel free to give them a bad day

but really what could i have said? i cant argue the fact that they may or may not have done a pre-delivery inspection...all i know is that they didnt do a state inspection

i wonder if i can get someone from Don McGill to call them on my behalf and see what could be done IF IN FACT something is really wrong w/ the car

ok, i went BACK to don mcgill again today...turns out it does look like im burning oil but now im getting a different story, now they think my car MIGHT quit burning oil after the 5k mark because thats when it will be completly "broken in"
if i burn more oil in the next 300 miles they will rip it apart and check the pistons or whatever

the guys up there are super nice and are very helpful but i dont know...thats the 3rd time ive been up there and they keep saying to watch it, but when i call up there w/ a symptom there like OMG BRING IT IN!!!

i dont know, but this is starting to get on my nerves

ok, i went BACK to don mcgill again today...they told me that the white vapor im seeing is "normal" even though i told them i checked out 2 other tCs and they werent smoknig like mine, but they do think im burning oil for sure and they have a reason as to why all the sudden, they said its because it hasnt been fully "broken in" and it shoudl stop after about 5k miles
but they did say if i burn more oil in the next 300 miles they will rip it apart and check the pistons or whatever

Contact Gulf States Toyota (Scion), demand a new car..
consider not now but 30,000 miles from now.
What damage will show up by then.
The engine was scalding hot to run, just on a slick film of oil.
You may need a laywer.
Don't put up with this S$^T!!!
Scion does not need any bad press.
Push hard and something WILL get done.
Good Luck!
Did not do state insection, is that legal?

please excuse the bad spelling.

what im going to say? it hasnt been in for repairs, i have no hard evidence that further damage will occur from this - all i can say is that ive been up there 3 times and each time ive gotten a slightly different story and each time they've said to keep an eye on it

i have no case as of right now, the only thing i can do is put it in for a repair and if it still does the same thing then i MIGHT have some sort of case

well im not sure what they've been putting in the computer, i know that they entered me in the first time i went, but the last 2 im not so sure...the first time i was going to leave it and filled out a piece of paper, but then they decided to let me take it but "keep an eye on it", but i never got a copy of what i signed - the last 2 times (including today) i never received any paperwork...just a visual diagnosis
