Racing: modified vs. stock (w/story)
So, I'm coming home from work today on beltway 8 and I hear the bumble-rumble and it's a green prelude with an exhaust and some type SH sticker on the back... with an idle problem, and his exhaust lets everyone know it. Kid, fix it. We are at a light, a couple of cars back, I see a clearing and go for it because at the next light, there's a terrible bit of traffic, so I like to get ahead of the crowd. Apparently, this kid thought it meant I wanted to race. Just so happens to end up that we are sitting at the next light lined up. I knew this kid was gonna punch it. So, I didn't punch it because I'm not an idiot, and I knew right, the kid did punch it upto but not limited to 70-80mph. Bumbling down the feeder, didn't care about cops or anyone or anything else on the road... and I just drove as normal. And then he did the gaYest ricer thing a kid in a honda with a fart can, can do... he put on his flashers... and I actually said aloud, "You ___ little ricer."
Now, this got me thinking... I own a stock '06 Scion tC... no mods that would even indicate that I am looking for a race. This kid, and I use that term literally, obviously has some mods done, meager as they be. Why would you race something that is a known factor? Isn't it more fun to race something that you aren't sure you are going to beat? I always thought it was. I mean, if it was a real racer, not a ricer, he would already know what his car could do and thus, know what stock cars he could and could not beat. Secondly, he'd be racing at the track, not on the beltway during heavy traffic.

I would of schooled his @$$. Most punks out lookin for races are drivng junk to begin with. I'm not saying this is right for everyone but I hate backing down from a challenge. Although occasionaly my gut will tell me things are going to get "out of hand" then I just let it go.
that kid is the man! Driving around in a prelude with fart can! i mean... come on, how hardcore can you get! Plus you say he flashed his lights at you? Wow, thats like the greatest honor you can ever have bestowed upon you!
hahaha damn too many ricer's 4 realz an kids who just slap on some stickers an get a can for the muffler an flashers wow... lmao i would of owned him to but on the feeder come on take it to the backstreets atleast from others view.... this kid needs to learn somethings an i hope he gets owned by the popo's
Next time I beat a beat a minivan from the light I'm going to throw on my flashers, give the kids in the back the one finger salute, and try and peel out from 50mph because I'm hard to the f***ing core.
