they do that all the time. either to pass it or fail it.
they can split it up into section and vote on them individually though, but thats a lot more work for them to do and god forbid they do that.
there was another go for it in 1995 as well..

I've been driving for years with no front plates without a singal mention of it( tho i have received 3 speeding tickets)... Only certain cities around here care, and I aviod them like the plaque.
If you live in the Houston area:
As of today, the red light cameras are up and running in Houston and tickets will begin being issued. The cameras are triggered by sensors that photograph cars in the intersections after the lights turn reds.
You'll find the red light cameras at the following intersections:
Richmond at Dunvale
Hillcroft at Richmond
Harwin at Hillcroft
Bellaire at Wilcrest
Travis at Webster
Brazos at Elgin
Pease at La Branch
Milam at Elgin
JFK at Greens
Bay Area Boulevard at El Camino Real
The locations were chosen based on the number of accidents and complaints related to running lights. Safety studies claim the devices reduce accidents and traffic violations because drivers are forced to obey traffic laws or risk a $75 ticket. Money generated by the citations will help pay for Houston police overtime.

there's a crapload of cameras in Garland/Plano/Richardson/Sachse/Rowlett area.
I even had one snap me in Rowlett.
I was about 1/2 way in the intersection, light changed to red, and BLAM I saw a flash like a strobelight - but only one flash.
It had to have been a camera going off.
Time for everyone to get the clearcoat for their license plates.
... took a picture of my plates,, total whiteness - the coating makes the thing reflect light so it overexposes the picture so you just see a white blotch.

Hi all. This doesnt really apply to me, I have out of state tags. Oh wait, some hater cop may use that one against me (doh!).
I also read about the "red light run" hype today. some organization has flyers circulating about drivers running red lights and the dangers of doing so. do people really have this kind of time in life to print this stuff???? I can think of a dozen other much more pressing issues. All we need are cops looking for this one now.
Although I must say, I dont see that many speed traps down here (knock on wood).

Saylor,
Regarding the "pix of your plate issue" I thought you had a great idea. Do you have proof this actually occurs? Also, I was always wondering about plate covers - esp the dark ones- can you get nabbed for having one that conceals too much?
Also, they should come out w/one that has a holigram over the cover that reads: "No flash photography please" LOL...just like in the f-ing museum! Wouldnt that be hilarious!!!!!!

anything that goes over the plate, clear or whatever. is considered illegal and if they figure out that you've done something and catch you. thell give you a ticket and fine or whatever.
