Clutch Install - Charlotte Area
Well, we tried to install m new Stage 4 CC and failed miserably.
We tried to follow the DIY here https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ght=diy+clutch
and failed horribly.
We could not get the subframe/ cross membrane to unbolt fully. It seemed like the transmission was resting on top of the cross membrane and despite all our efforts we could get that sucker off to even allow access to the rest of the subframe to unbolt in order to drop the tranny.
I'm trying to see if anyone has any pointers or can provide a better DIY or something.
What would be even better is if anyone in the area has done it before and would be willing to lend a hand, that would be AWESOME!

I had Lethal Injection Motorsports to do it when I was in GA, really good price too.
You need a set of standard and metric tools, wrenches and sockets, two sets would be nice a set of sockets needs to be deep too.
The most important thing is you'll need an impact 32mm 12point deep socket to take off the axle nuts, spindle nut, this is what I couldn't find, I already had everything else done. You will need an air tool to get it off that is capable of at least 150 ft/lb tq.
If you have all that and 2 hydraulic jacks and jack stands you can do it. Otherwise for the price of the tools themselves you can pay the $350 - $400 for a shop to do it.
