Default Hey all from the Charlotte area

Hello everyone, my wife and I are looking to move to the Charlotte area, Kannapolis, Mooresville, Concord, etc. Any areas to avoid, as far as crime? We also have 1 child and want to find the good schools for him. Also, what are the smog requirements there? I have an 1987 BMW as well as the xA. How is the job market? I have my Class A CDL, and mortgage exp. my wife has medical office and insurance exp. Any suggestions and recommendations are welcome. Thanks.

You can check into Lancaster and york county, in SC. They are as close as Kannapolis, Moresville. Plus there is no inspections on cars/bikes in SC, House would be alot cheaper down in SC too. Fort Mill is a nice area.

Concord, NC. The cabarrus county school system is good. If I were you I would stay away from charlotte. CMS schools are pretty bad.

OK, that's kind of where we are looking, Kannapolis due to the new research center, Concord seems good too.

Crime isn't too bad here. I am sure its no worse then cali. You'll be fine, unless you go looking for trouble or drive a Honda. I've been here since 91 and had more problems with crime in my little suburban town than in Charlotte itself.

You should look into Rock Hill, SC. It's a small town about 20 minutes south of Charlotte.

I live in the Ballantyne section of Charlotte. They have the best schools in the area and very little crime. It is very convenient and growing like crazy so the job opportunities are plentiful.
