Hey all. I am not sure if any of you live in the carlson area, but thought I would put up a freindly warning just in case. There seems to be some cars being broken into. I live in a nice complex over here.. so of course it isnt heavilly patrolled. I park my saturn outside because I only have one underground spot, which the tC gets. This weekend it, and another car not 300 feet away were broken into. I lost a custom box I built, two 10's and a kenwood amp. So if any of you live around here (I see a few other scions in the complex, so not sure if any of them post here) you may want to keep your cars in close eye. Of course, they probably will hit somewhere else after this if they are smart.. but I would guess some other complexes around here may get targeted. They used something to drive out the trunk lock, cut the wires and pulled the box and amp all together, so they were quick about it.

Damn I would love to catch some punk @$$ doing this.

 

Sorry to hear about your break in. Thanks for the heads up. Our neighborhood (SW Minneapolis) has seen a rash of break ins of Honda Civics this summer. Some for joy riding and some just taking stuff.

 

As in Carlson, are you refering to carlson parkway?

Yep, carlson parkway. Funny someone mentioned the civics.. I am almost 100% sure the one up the road from me was a honda civic, and a civic parked next to me had the trunk busted up, but I couldnt tell from the distance if someone broke into it or if something hit it. Luckilly my scion was parked in the locked garage and my fiances 4runner did not get touched.. it was parjed right next to the saturn. I am pretty sure they went looking for cars with aftermarket head units figuring there would be toys in the trunk. Of course I went through filling out the report last night.. but wont hold my breath. I am sure they are moving to the next area nearby next.

 

I will have to let my boyfriend know. We only have one underground parking spot too and his car doesn't get it. We live up the street from there not too far...

I pulled out the HU and rockfords from the doors last night just in case... I am wondering if it is someone who lives there considering they popped the trunks to two otherwise stock cars and hit paydirt on both.

I almost moved in to the apartments across from the towers. My boyfriend and I looked in to them and then decided to buy a townhouse instead. They were pretty nice though.

 

Yeah, I love them as far as apartments go, big apartments and very nice. but we are itching to buy a house, which is coming up within the next year. I just have to have one with a nice sized garage.. I really hate having no space to work in!
