just to clarify.. i've heard you cannot place in show if you are on the panel.. is that true?

As far as Window Tint - How far are you willing to go.
Oil Change - I just have the dealer do it because they inspect my car and top off fluids too.. that's important to me as i don't always know the little things they look at.
Brakes - I really don't know... haven't gotten to that point yet

I was going to try Ziebart again since they are close. I don't know any car audio shops in the Cranberry area.

I used to get brakes done by Midas. However, since neither Midas or Monro called me back last week, I bought everything myself and will be doing it myself when it stops raining and snowing. I've had the same front rotors since 2005 and almost 95,000 miles. Time to put some new ones on haha.

I don't do oil changes because you couldn't pay me enough to get under a car. I got a pro series jack but I still ain't going under the car. I change the oil on my motorcycle though.

$19.99 to guarantee I don't get flattened by 3000 lbs car = priceless

jack and 2 stands so wonders

i pulled a motor with only 2 stands and a jack. as long as the cars on 2 stands i wouldnt worry about it

sometimes though i wonder what would happen if we had an earthquake while working under the car... scary...

Getting killed by getting crushed by the car isn't what is scary. What is scary is still being alive for awhile after it crushes you. Odds are is the split second it drops you will turn on your side at a desperate attempt to get out underneath the car or roll out quick. The car will hit your hip and shoulder and slowly snap your shoulder girdle and your hips would crush onto each other. Your ribs would go next and during all this time, you will only be wishing for it to end as soon as possible. There is no going back after that. Soon your internal organs would slowly smash together and by then, you should be dead.

Sorry but I have analyzed the worst case scenario on this. I'm an engineer afterall lol!

thats kinda an unrealistic fear, i mean if you support the car properly this wouldnt happen.

if 2 stands and a jack fail, then you were doomed from the start.... it would catch up with you in some way

Any one have interest in local autoX? A good friend of mine has been organizing a AutoX fundraiser for HDSA. More details here: http://www.fasttrackpgh.com/
I went last year and had a blast. Don't worry about what class your mods might put you in just come out to have fun! They have loaner helmets too, if you don't have one.

ha ha... loaner helmets... a.k.a. swimming in other people's sweat. ECH!

Now think about that next time you borrow a helmet off someone.

Welcome! Of course we care!

I'd like to see us pull together a few meets this summer! Car cruises in Wexford and Irwin?, Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, and I think there is a show at the end of summer too? Exposed 2011? Anyone else up for trying to get this organized?
