We need to get Scioncop in an NRG meet... that way he can fend of anti-open-hood cops so we can loiter freely.

Ok.. I have a few questions/concerns. Let me just say, that this info was interesting. After reading through all 22 pages of this post, I didn't find an answer. I did ask cop friends of mine, but everyone seems to have different opinions.
The first thing I want to know is.. If I get pulled over and pull out P.B.A. cards, do you guys get mad? I have P.B.A. cards from 3 different officers in different towns/counties. One is actually a cheif of police P.B.A. I have never used them for any reason. I usually get out of whatever it is(lucky??)
The other thing I was wondering about, happened the other day..It's actually a funny story. I pulled into the parking lot at my job (its in a shopping plaza) and made the first right. There was a car in the left lane, to turn left, where I was turning right. I believe I have the right of way since he wasn't already turning. I turned and he got ____ed. Well when I parked, he came over, knocked on my window and started yelling at me that he could have given me a ticket. He scared the ____ out of me when he knocked on my window and started yelling at me cause I wasn't expecting it. I just looked at him and said "Are you serious??" He said he had the right of way, blah blah blah, and I started laughing at him. Then I said either give me a ticket or please move, your making me late for work. He told me to watch myself and walked off mumbling. I don't know why he didnt just give me a ticket then.. I believe he was a state trooper since he was wearing a jacket that said it, but he didnt show me anything and he was driving a white blazer with no lights or anything. Could he have given me a ticket?
I asked the chief that I'm friends with about this when he came to my job that night and he said that he shouldn't have done that and they are cautioned(not the word I'm looking for) to try not to do that except in certain cases. He said he was probably having a bad day or whatever and took it out on me.
I can't figure it out. I think that cop was really wrong for that especially since he seen that he surprised me when he came to the window. I couldn't help but be an ___ right back to him(unfortunatly thats not rare with me).
And this one time, at bandcamp... No, j/k. I'm done.
Sorry for the long post, just wanted to see what you thought.

What do you mean by PBA card?

The second scenario was total horse____. It was very stupid for that person to come out and scare you like that. If your story is true then I'm glad you made the comment "give me the ticket or leave me alone". You actually called him on his bluff since a trooper can't give you a ticket for a violation in a non-state private parking lot.

dumb things cops / troopers do. We laugh at fellow cops / troopers for doing stupid things like that. They make us look bad.

policemens benevolent association... cops give it to their families or friends, so when they get pulled over they can say they know a cop and prove it.. It says I'm a safe and courtious driver.
I didnt think I was in violation. I thought because I was turning right, that I had the right of way. I believe thats true, right? He was a total ___. He wasn't driving a cop car and the only thing that made me believe he was a cop was the fact that he had nj state trooper on his sweatshirt. Hopefully I will never run into him again. I didnt think they could pull you over if they arent in their "cop cars". And what gave him the right to come over and knock on my window just to yell at me anyways.. It definatley makes all the other cops look bad. How are you supposed to call on them for help, when they do things like that??
Thanx for answering me so quickly.

Personally.....

PBA, PAC, 500 Club, ect ect ect don't mean crap to me. Everybody and their mother has some sort of "I'm down with the cops" item.

Also it's true about hats and sweaters, everybody bought those things and either wear them or put them on the back windsheild thinking its an amnesty pass. YEA RIGHT!!!

I don't mind giving a cop a ticket if hes acting like an ___ either. Truth is I usually give out the tickets to people who act or talk their way into one.

Question: Do cops care if a car has a radar detector in it? I know in some states they are illegal to have. In indiana you can have them. Mine has saved my butt MANY of times. But if I would get stopped for speeding with the thing still mounted, would cops care, like I am trying to get past them or something? Ohh what is "POP" radar?

Also I live on a farm, 50 acres. I don't live in a township at all. Is it legal for me to shoot my gun on my land?

Eddie, do you know if it's possible to be reimbursed for a flat tire on a state roadway b/c of a pothole?

For Example, I was driving on the Garden State PArkway, and there's a patch of road where it's just horrible. Potholes all over. I got a flat b/c one of those potholes. Can I file for some sort of reimbursement? This is a road that I have to pay to drive on, so the least they can do it is maintain it, right?

I'm asking you, b/c I was told I have to file a police report. So, sorry if you're not the right guy to ask...
