also keep in mind that you have to keep the car insured, registered and inspected unless you plan to trail it to the track, but i dont think the xB will be up to that.

So I wanna be able to drive later at night legally....little bit of a problem so to speak? What do you guys think..

Go here, read the four requirements. http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/teenDrive...rLicense.shtml

The second one, Have not been convicted of any violation of the Vehicle Code, has my concern. I have had two tickets, both knocked down to five over, which isn't reported to the state, thus isn't reported to your insurance agent. Do you think that counts as being convicted of violating a vehicle code?

I checked my history by going here: http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/driver_se...avigation=true and paying the $5. Came up clean, what do you all think?

My last speeding ticket was knocked down to 5 over back on the 22nd of June. Maybe it hasn't been long enough for it to come up? My other one was knocked down to 5 over back on 5/6/08.

Thoughts? Oh, and don't start with the talk about slowing down, etc. Everyone speeds, except for your grandma and a few others. Haha

Also, I was in an accident where I came up over a hill and traffic was stacked up to just beyond visibility. It was pouring, and the roads were covered with water, as well as spotted standing water. Going less than the speed limit, I locked the breaks up and rear-ended an accord. Telephone pole to the right, cars to the left. That also didn't show up on the driver history, although my insurance did see the increase. Thoughts on that?

1- its not a GTI its a golf
2- its an Automatic
3- its an 8V engine (100hp on a good day)

get a 16v (135hp) with a stick or dont bother.

he is asking about $1,000 more then he should. you can get one in better shape for MUCh cheaper. for $2k you can get a 16V

2 tickets and 1 accident in what 1 year of driving is horrible.

If they see that they wont even think about giving you it early.

Yes, everyone speeds but its a fact of how and where you do it.

im pretty sure once you turn 18 you get a full license and no more cinderella license (home by 11) so just wait.

and yes, everyone speeds. but if you have been caught 2 times in a year your doing something wrong. i have been driving for 5 or 6 years now and dont have any tickets at all.

for what though? is it really that big a deal? it fun for the 1st week but then so what...seeing as how no one here gives out the waivers (and can drive whenever they want) your best bet is to just go to the DMV and ask.

i dont think you should get the after 11 thing. 2 tickets in how many months (not even a year) and an accident. I think they would remove cinderella restrictions for "good behavior" 2 tickets and an accident in however much time does not constitute good behavior.

oh, and i do not speed

Two tickets obviously doesn't, but the accident was only partially my fault. The car I was driving couldn't stop in time, whereas the car in front of me did. I wasn't tailgating, speeding, or anything. Just came to an abrupt stop before I saw he was stopped. Rush hour traffic in pouring rain, over a some-what blind hill. No I am not blaming it on the car, or the circumstances, but it sure didn't help in the situation. Two tickets, yup I was speeding. Yup I was being stupid. Yup, biscuit at me all you want. Asking for opinions out of you guys is like asking for an opinion out of a cop. All you do is nit-pick the question apart, and beat it off the path it should have gone down.

Thanks for the input. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I get out of work later than 11 a lot of the time anyhow, and I know you're allowed to drive after 11 if you're coming home from work..but what if you stop at wawa and a cop is in a bad mood? And yes, coming home at 11 sometimes does put a hamper on my nightly activities...hahaha

Thanks for your input!
