You call 30 mpg on the highway "the worst gas mileage"? Sheesh.

Your buddy's Z06 has shorter gearing than standard C5's; that's why he gets lower gas mileage. My rear is 3.42 and a Z06 is 4.10 which does indeed make a big difference at cruising speeds.

just so you know... once a year we have a car show up here at our dealership with a SEPARATE class for Scions... this year we had 3.. count 'em... THREE Scions show up... that's not including having Christian Rado show up with his Drag tC (1300 hp) and Time Attack tC (600+ hp) as well as his truck & whole crew... what a day !! ...he fired up both cars numerous times throughout the day... and he's DEFINITELY coming back next year...

anyway.. it might be a bit of a haul to get here from Pa. but it'll be worth it... keep a lookout on here for next year's date...

uhm...actually, vettes get pretty good gas mileage, they don't weight much more than the tc, and they have alot of power and taller gear ratios, they get gas mileage comparable to us, but can do 0-60 in 5 seconds and so on. ofcourse they burn the expensive stuff, but anyway.

i'm sorry you met a douchebag vette owner, my dad owns two, but whenever he gets the chance, he likes to take my tc for a spin which doesn't compute in my mind. alot of vette i've met are good guys. this was probably a douchebag who bought a used corvette after trading in his pos mustang or something.
