Haha, check out what I just ordered for my little Cylon xD today:

After quite a few people on the different formums told me I needed one of these to go along with the theme of my car, I finally broke down and bought a red Cylon scanner light bar to mount behind my front grill. It is actually a "Knight Rider" scanner unit but should look just like a Cylon scanner viewing it through both the stock grill and my aluminum Billet overlay grill... I didn't want anything tacky looking; this will be completely hidden, so it can be permanently mounted without detracting from the look of the car at all. I can at least use it at car shows and meets and the like, should be an eye catcher...!

Default August 28 Meet??

So peoples, what's the story with the monthly meet for this Saturday - Anything going to happen, and anyone planning on showing up?? If so, where we all gonna be showing up at??

Just our luck, looks like some rain in the extended forecast for Saturday, too...

beedie beedie beedie... What's up Michael? Go for the double-whammy reference! looks fun and like it'll be perfect for your theme!

As far as the monthly meet goes, who knows. I don't think anything has happened all summer. However, I will be here this time ( ) and I'm all for a g2g. Since I mentioned Five Guys I've been craving their fries and would be happy to meet there. hint hint.

Let's get a list going of who's available saturday night. I will speak for Ray because I can.

1. April
2. Ray

I saw that in another thread. Country? You must be smitten! awwwww. Pop country or traditional? I recommend the Austin Lounge Lizards for when you've become hooked and think you've heard it all. Technically bluegrass but some biting wit and very clever songs. It's the only thing close to country you'll find in my collection. Sorry, got OT there.

Anyone else for the list?

Haha, OK, you're definitely not a true sci fi buff, are you?!! Mystery Science Theater 3000, hmmm...

beedie beedie beedie... ?? Tweaky was on Buck Rogers, Cylons are from Battlestar Galactica - and my Cylon is from the new BSG remake currently running on the SciFi Channel... awesomely intense drama , nothing like the campy 1980's show...

So even though you have insulted me profusely (not!), I suppose I could still bring myself to come to the monthly meet with at least you and Ray (I take it that's your hubby or bf?)...

1. April
2. Ray
3. Troy

Which Five Guys are you talking about meeting at, April? I've only been to the one in York along Route 30, somewhere near Hooters... Al and Eddie and I stopped there for supper on the way home from the Scion Show of Champions last month...

Any one else?

Mr. Cylon: I figured I had my shows mixed up but didn't care... neither one of them are good enough to keep straight. oooooo, that's right, I said it. hahahaha. besides, "true" scifi died when it was was made into TV shows. bitter? oh a tad. A former friend bought me buck rogers on DVD. we no longer talk to each other. I don't have cable and haven't seen the new battlestar galactica. I've heard it was great.

Ray is my bf. he has an 04 BSP xB. He'll take it to shows or g2gs if they're not too far or if they're scion only. otherwise, he'll just ride with me because my car is better! lol not really, but I keep mine cleaner.

What was the parking like for that 5 guys on 30? enough room for a few to cram in together? I figured the one by best buy (off mt zion) had plenty of room because it was a strip mall. But if you guys just ate there, I wouldn't try to clog your arteries by making you go there again!

There's a guy at work with a hypno teal who said he'd like to meet up with us. I'll see if he can make it.

Jim... Never heard of brad paisley. yup, I live under a rock. but it was very nice of you to share 1 of your, what, 12 presets? Yeah, this thread should just e titled 'York BS thread.' we just don't do it like the philly folk though! lol

nah, i only have 6 presets, and shes lucky that she has 1 of them. next thing i know her shampoo is going to be in my shower, and the nightstand will be taken over by her... HAHAHAHA

no worries, no one does it like us philly folk. HAHAHAHA

PS: anyone looking for a DSLR camera setup? i'm selling mine.
Nikon D40 with 18-55 lens, and 55-200 VR lens.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! are you saying that sometimes girls' nightstands get a little cluttered with...

As far as the camera goes.... how much wear and tear? I'm trying to convince work to get us a new one and I know our photo guy would love an SLR. the D40 is a standard goody. Heck, I kind of need a real camera to shoot my jewelry and would like it. Yeah, screw work, I want one. Kodak can kiss my ___ but that's another bitter story.

OK, now that was just downright harsh, April! Jeez!

haha, jk... I agree with you, those 1980's Scifi shows were pretty lame... Well, tell you what, since you sound like you DO still have a spark of interest in things Sci Fi, I'll bring along to the meet, a copy of the SciFi channel Battlestar Galactica Pilot movie on DVD for you to watch in your leisure, and see how you like it ... just so you know, the pilot is very good, but it is not even anywhere close to the intensity of the weekly episodes from the first two seasons... Perhaps I can help restore your faith in good Scifi again, hahah!!

Five Guys off Mount Zion road - Best Buy - is that near the Galleria Mall, or down by 462? That would be much closer for me than almost West York... that one had a pretty small parking lot, not a good spot for a meet.

^ yeah, it's across 30 from the galleria. take the same exit off 30, Mt Zion, but turn left at the light (Mt Zion/24) then the 5 guys strip mall is right at the next light (there's a chilis).

Yeah, I should give good scifi a chance again and that one sounds like a good place to start. my heart really lies in the crappy old 50s b-movies though. I don't know how to define my love for scifi. Give me an old Roger Corman film over Independance Day any day! I'm very arbitrary in my allegiences.

Still trying to get one more for saturday but haven't heard back from him.

I'd come down to York to hang out if I could get my idle issue fixed. My car seems to like stalling out when the clutch is in or not in gear. Guess that happens when you build a motor. I'll get it fixed then start coming down saturdays.
