Well guys, looks like I won't be able to participate in any meets or events for a while, I'm completely out of commission... I totally blew out my knee at work on Wednesday, something just went pop, now I can't put any weight on it at all. Most likely the meniscus or ACL, but either is going to require surgery. Just had an MRI today, won't find out the results until Tuesday, though... But I can't walk at all. I can hop short distances with a walker, but with my excessive weight, it about kills me, I'm afraid I'll f*k up the other leg or my hip... Sucks to get old, folks...
Been livin out at my parents house so they can help me... no computer or internet out there. I AM able to drive, in pain a little, so I came into my house tonight so I could get on the computer and keep up with my work stuff and check emails - the computer is only about 20 feet from the car when it's parked in the garage, so I can just hop over to my desk...
SO, you probably won't see me on here much over the next few weeks until my surgery and therapy is behind me and I can get around better... don't know when I 'll be able to go back to work, but they are cutting way back and laying off more people, so I can't be gone long or they'll probably just dump me... This couldn't have come at a worse time. Oh well.
I'll catch you all on here whenever I can. Wish me luck!

Must be because I'm usually the life of the party on here, haha... 
drove in to my house this morning to catch up online... I can hobble to my car with a walker and I can drive, just can't put a lot of weight on my leg to walk... I go for arthroscopic surgery on Monday the 24th, I do have a partially torn meniscus... I then go to therapy on Tuesday right away... so hopefully I'll be walking again and back to work by Dec 1 - if they don't find anything else wrong with the knee during the surgery.
....and after eating a big Turkey-day meal, it will be even harder on my leg to try to walk around, lol!

Oh, I forgot to mention this to you guys - my xD got damaged a bit...
on my way to the doctor from work on the day I injured my leg, I was wincing in pain real bad as I was driving in front of the Ephrata High School, and I drifted over and ran right over the yellow crosswalk sign in the middle of the street, and scratched the heck out of the right corner of the bumper and fender of my new car (I had swerved to the left at the last second to try to miss it)... Looks like it's mostly just "plastic-ruboff" from the sign, if you know what I mean, most of it should buff out, whenever I'm well enough to do it. A cop came by just minutes after I hit the sign, I had pulled over, he looked at my car and I told him what was going on, and he let me continue on to the doctor... what a mess!

hey all, I'm still alive, I'm actually able to limp around a short distance without the walker today, so I came home for a while to do some fun stuff - clean up dishes that have been sitting in the sink for the last 2 weeks, clean out rotting leftovers in the fridge... yum. Any one up for a snack at my place, gotta get rid of some of the extras, Mmm...
