i was actually thinking about that last night(i know, its sad that i think about SL while offline). i was wondering if/when you were going to start with your audio stuff and if you're doing all the things you wanted to do.

i just went to my car about 20 minutes ago to see what it looks like at night and realized i need lights in the trunk. other than the screen and the cap, nothing lights up. its all dark.


does anyone know who can help me with interior lights?

i have a couple of bolts with built in leds that i plan on putting in the headliner in order to shine down on the subs (like recessed lights). i also need to replace the broken cathodes, and install the million-colors led strip (to light up the amp). oh, and strobes in the headlights. i bought all this stuff and never put'em in... until now

 

So Im done with modding... since I cant mod my own, I down to help you guys with audio stuff. Whispaz hit me up for some glassing, and Ill be happy to help you Snowman with your enclosure. Ive been dying to glass some more this summer. Its starting to get nice out too, perfect weather for resin to dry.

i saw a new blue r32 for the first time on rte. 16 in Everett by the Kappys last week (i think). i think i like the mk4s a little more

 

Mk4's had an aggressive exterior (which I like better also) but the interior is light years ahead in the Mk5 R32. And I wasnt about to pay bank on a used MK4 when I could pay a few grand more and get a new car. Mk4's are ridiculous at how they have held their value.

My coworker had a GTI with DSG and the 2.5L engine IIRC, then he traded that in for a Passat with the 3.2 V6. Both were fun to ride in, but in different ways (the GTI was lighter and swifter, while the Passat had more torque and weight to it).

I'm trying to imagine what it feels like to have the 3.2 in a GTI body. It must feel good.

 

GTI has the 2.0T... and the Passat is supposedly getting a 3.6 at some point and will be called a R36

Yeah I would love to do the setup that I've wanted to do for like a year (i.e. 22" widescreen and xbox 360 in the trunk), but I just don't know how realistic it will be. Come beginning of May I'm going to look into maybe a basic amp/sub setup so the following scenario doesn't happen like it did last summer: Judges go "so what you got in the trunk?" to which I respond "well nothing now..." :D All in due time, just not anytime soon.

Interior lighting eh? Did you just say my name? I kind of have a knack for that stuff. I'm sadly extremely busy with work/family stuff over the next few weeks but in May I'll be back in swing lighting **** up so I can definitely help you then.

Anyone know where i could find matching paint for wheels and plastic? I got some wheels i want to paint like a bronze and the same with some plastic peices. i know krylon makes the fusion but is it possible to find paint that would match that i could use on wheels? Nice work on the subs Chris. Yeah C-low was going to make me a box for my subs but things got side track. It's all good. Installing my subs are on my BS list. My BS list is things that I have in my room and never used them. lol
