Recommend a NYC dealership ?
Live in Queens. Looking to purchase a new 2009 or 2010 Scion Tc, Flint Mica, with TRD ride modifications (brake, shocks, rear sway bar).
I've been to the Manhattan dealership. They said any engine mods that are not TRD would void the contract, whether they failed or not, whether they contributed to any engine issues or not. Period.
Any others you could recommend ?
Thanks

Well I have to recommend Manfredi Toyota/Scion in Staten Island. I've purchased 3 cars from them, and the experience has been great and there have never been any issues at all. I had the dealership hook up my xD with TRD parts and everything was installed to spec.
My girlfriend also bought 2 cars from them.
Thats not true about the engine mods. They have to find that the failure was caused by the aftermarket part.
They also really support the scion community by sponsoring my scion team, and holding scion shows/partys for ALL scion owners and enthusiasts.
If you do go there, speak with either Al or Tommy G

Well if you're looking to get body work done on the car, the dealership will send you over to the shop they use to install and paint the OEM kits, the shops name is autopro. They had to reinstall and paint my tC bumper and install and paint my kenstyle lip and it came out perfect

thanks so much for the information.
i've spoken with a rep from westbury on this site. he was well-informed
and was the first to state that the scion tc can be equipped by a dealer
with one of two lip kits (OEM and 5Axis), whereas all the other dealers
i had spoken were not aware, in general, of all the available options, and
did not seem too informed about 'scionlife'

I am looking for a XB Release 6.0 Manual myself. After 2 weeks of research I went to almost all the dealers in Queens and a few in Long Island. I visited the Westbury Scion today and they are the only one has the car. However, the car already had 200 miles on it, and when I asked them if they can give me discounts on accessories they told me Scion has the pure pricing policy that they can't give discount on anything not even giving me a piece of Scion floor mat.
I know the pure pricing policy that's why I didn't even ask them to lower the car price but was very disappointed to heard that no discount on accessories on a new car with 200 miles. Every Scion dealer I went to was willing to give a little something for free in this kind of economy.
During the 15 minutes I was there, they didn't even ask me to sit down and work things out, as a customer I feel they are not professional and unfriendly. It's not about $200 on a $18K car, it's how I feel I was being treated. Personally I don't recommend Westbury Scion, I like Queensboro Scion, Penn and even Millenium is better than them.
If you are reading this post and you are the Westbury Scion rep, sorry, you are not getting my business. You might be the only one has the car, but that car is not my only choice. Good luck selling your car.

Steping into any dealership owned by Millenium is like walking into the 7th layer of hell. The most sleeziest bunch of scumbags to ever have the mispleasure of attempting to do business. Advoid them at all cost.
Westbury isn't too bad, but I was in the same situation as you Skyfish.....it just lacks an atmosphere that puts you at the ut most importance. It's like they just want to get the car off the lot and not go that extra step to leave you happy and wanting you to go back for your next purchase, or recommend people to.
If you're looking for someone to deal with, see Tom Montilli over at Penn Toyota. Nicest guy, doesn't try to back you into a corner and force something on you like the a-holes over at Millenium will do, and he'll take the extra step to try n make you happy. Also Rob Pirano is another great guy who will really bust his butt for ya.

Penn... I don't want to say too much about them. I used to work for them. That's why I bought my cars at Westbury...

the one on northern and clearview in queens is Star Toyota/Scion... their nissan dealership is on the opposite corner. I cant say anything about their sales dept. but the parts dept is not bad, retail tolerant, and the service dept is good, usually crowded and slow, but good.
If ya feel like taking a hike north. Westchester toyota is a pretty good dealership. Parts/ service dept is a customer of mine. They are pretty knowledgeable even with TRD and other aftermarket add ons.

I Recomend Westbury Toyota/Scion Ask for Rick or Jenn. Both are very helpful and will get you what you want. They are the number 1 scion dealer in the North East!!!!! If performance is what your looking for Westbury will also do the install and WARANTY it. If you want to go turbo, Westbury Sells DEZOD Turbo kits, best thing about it they are WARANTIED!!!!! So if your into moding your car weather just visual, Performance, or both Westbury Scion is the place.
