I thought the exhaust donut gasket thing had just failed again and that's why the exhaust wouldn't stay tightened. A trip to The ScionCentral, aka Precision Muffler, found the real cause of things. It had to be from something bouncing in the road, because the spot where it hit isn't the low spot and there's only about an inch of space between my GTSpec mid-frame brace and the line to the point of impact. Someone out there with a cat-back exhaust became an unknowing organ donor to my car and I thank you. Thanks also to Gabe for getting me all straightened up, welded up and back on the road. Here's the pics:
The damage was in the part that parallels the axle (so to speak)
