hmph..... no one mentioned about the people that roll into the show day of...... that always happens... people knowing people... hooked up.. whatnot..

ehh... politics.... that's all it is.

and Ed.... dude... you had a wristband.... you could've left the premises and came back.... there was like a Togo's about maybe 2-3 blocks away you could've driven to, eaten and come back...

and i had to leave for SFO for family stuff too... left... came back.. and hell.. i even got a closer parking spot than before i left... right next to the gate (where wristband'd people went into)

and you only pay for parking once too... made sure to ask the people there when i first got there... just show them your parking ticket when you come back in.

but even after all that and even when i wasn't showin' this time... i dealt with and saw more BS than i have ever have at a HIN.. (even when i did show my car back then)

let's just hope the rest of the show season isn't like that.

anyway.. some good news.... my friend showed me a few pics that he took... (none of which i remember were just cars... lol) but they look good so far and hope he processes them soon and gets them uploaded. i'll update when i can.

good seein u guys at hin. nice to meet some of you guys finally. chris, keith, and sorry to some of peoples names i forgot it was nice to meet you guys.sorry to hear about the parking situation.

what time did you guys show up for roll in? hin competitor faq stresses on the entire group being there early/on time and ready to park. i know roll in started at 2pm, but i always show up early so i can get situated soonerbefore the rush starts. i mean know i saw evil dave there at like 12pm around the same time i showed up. he's the perfect example of promptness. early and in about 20 minutes he was inside and parked. when you guys pre-reg'ed did you yourselves talk to the hin people and asked about where the cars will be placed? or did you guys just reg online. usually communication is the key with hin people.

i also saw during roll in while your cars were being staged 2 tc's just take off from the line up and driving in on their own. and when stopped i heard cussing at the roll in people. i knew the roll in people weren't happy at that point. i mean im not pointing fingers, but whoever did that wasnt making your clubs situation any better. most of the time talking to them nicely and being reasonable is the best step to solving a problem. thats my experiences with any car show in general. anyhow good meetin u guys! =)

We all registered online, but I know that we had a list sent in a long time ago and EvilDave was in contact with them. And we all met up around 330pm to roll in together to be placed inside, but when we got there then we were told there was no room and had to be placed outside even though a couple of the buildings still had lots of room left for about 16-18 cars. Oh, and by the way.....the staff of HIN invited our club to the show.

I'm not saying that you are lying about the situation and I am not trying to sound like a b*tch, but I know from roll in that two of our tc's went the wrong way and one our guys in the xB (that I was behind) was yelling at them to be back in our line and he was not yelling at the HIN peeps. I have a hard time believing that our tc guys or anyone in our club for that matter would yell and cuss at the HIN peeps in such a manner and if they did it was probably out of frustration of placement of the cars, that and the young kids not know what they were doing. We weren't the only scions there, I know I saw other scion's too. And we do know how to handle ourselves and rep our club in the right way.

Maybe HIN is like the Airlines and overbooks all its shows? i.e. it sells more registration spaces than it actually has room in the venue. I'm guessing the empty rooms were reserved for particular clubs or people or something in that case. Still, I think most of the scikotics lucked out in being outside instead of in. (no crazy loudness) I do think the folks who paid for electricy who ended up outside should get their money back though.

Why did HIN hire the NCCA guys? Were they just sick of dealing with logistics?
