Default Need some input please!!

Has this happened to anyone? I was away on Saturday and left my car parked in front of my house. I came home that night and I saw a ding on my front passenger door and a big scratch on my bumper. I asked my neighbors and nobody saw anything. Now Im not sure how to go about this. Do I call my Insurance company? There is no police report or anything? I just need some info on what to do. Any responses would be great!!!!

You can call your insurance company... I would imagine you have full coverage...

How much is your deductible though? B/c if it's like $500 or more just for the deductible, you should get a quote to have it fixed first. It might be cheaper to pay that straightup - instead of going through insurance.

Yeah, my deductible is $500
So I should get a quote on the damage first?

I think that I would if your deductible is that high. Then just compare. If it's cheaper to go through insurance, call them up. If it's not... tell them to go ahead.

Do shops usually charge for an estimate on damage?

Ouch, sorry that happened to you.

I'm glad I live in a little cul-de-sac.

Some people when they back out of a driveway think they have the right of way because they're going backwards and don't have to look behind them.

Yeah......it sucks. Sometimes it seems that no matter how hard you try to keep your car ding free..something always has to happen. I just wish I knew who did it
But my main concern is to get it fixed.
