NorCal: Darker tint/overlay?
What % would I need to have applied to the stock windows to bring them down to about 10-20%?
Anyone from the Bay Area, CA do this before? Any shop leads would be great. I'm looking for a shop that uses 3M products.
Thanks

your factory tint on an xb is 20% if you add 20% you will bring it down to around 5% look some of the cars like evil daves chris from Weapon-r's they both have the factory tint plus 5% film added........by me.
This is about the best pic I currently have with my tint. (the xb ofcourse :D )
20% all the way around. Done by clear_bra_guy

The back is pretty dark. Hard to see at night, but I LOVED it in the summer!!

The factory tint isn't dark enough for me, and because the xb's windows are vertical/large it lets in a lot of light.
Is clear_bra_guy the mobile service xb I see? Silver with lots of graphics on it? Quimby/Tully area?

Some very nice rides!! As a recent transplant to Norcal from Minnesota...what are the regs out here? I already have the legal 3M tint up front...also wanting to darken the rear.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Is that 5% up front? What did you add in the rear to match the front? I don't think I'd do the front that dark, -- almost an instant ticket out here in the South Bay Area. That does look really nice though!
The only way you're allowed to get around the front driver/passenger window tint law is to carry around a written recommendation from your eye-ball doctor. I've had 2 other cars with 35% up front with 20% out back. I love how it keeps the car much cooler during the summer.
