I just got my xB a few weeks ago (I haven't even hit 500mi on it yet) and today I noticed the lower rear bumper cover is falling off. I can see where the adhesive was applied and pushed it back into place but I doubt it will hold. Has anyone else had this issue with any year xB? I know it is a small detail the car but I just bought it!

 

Take it back and just tell them to fix it right... I'm sure they'd take care of it no problem... it should hold without an issue and it's so new, they'll fix it for free in a jiffy.

take it back man!!! tell them to fix it, throw a fit.. and hope for some free stuff

 

I am already scheduled for security install this Saturday so hopefully they can take care of it then since I am dropping it off Friday evening.

 

Check it out really good before you leave and don't take it without it fixed right.

What a crappy thing to happen to your new car!

 

Well I called this morning on my way into work (yes I get to work this late) and its scheduled as part of my security install now so all should be well on Saturday. I was mostly just curious if this is a common occurrence or if I just am unlucky.

I took a look at it this morning and it looks like the adhesive that they use is what is not sticking. My only guess is that it did rain the day after I bought it and maybe the moisture worked its way into the adhesive before it completely cured. I don't really know much about what they use on it so thats just a shot in the dark.
