Dear SLers, We found out today that Shirley's condition is not any worse than it was and better than its been. The chemo they had her on isn't working as well as they thought it would, so they are going to try something different. There is also a case study going on that we can get in on if we want. Another stem cell transplant is pretty much out of the question as the risks are equal to or higher than the reward. Thanks for everyone keeping us in their prayers and thoughts, it means so much to both of us.

Dear Scion Family,

I-5 Scion (in Chehalis, right near Rob and Shirley) is running a little "contest" right now with the "prize" being... here, let my just copy what I-5 said:

I-5 Toyota/Ford/Scion
We need your help! We're looking for a deserving couple to treat to a night on the town - you can nominate yourself or another couple. The winner will receive a $150 GC for the lady to go shopping at Ciao Bella for a new outfit, drinks and a game of pool at Mcmenamins Olympic Club and a nice dinner at Mackinaws Chehalis. They'll also get a Flipcam to provide their thoughts on the all-new 2012 Toyota Camry. You can enter by posting your nomination on our Facebook wall!
So, would you please stop by their Facebook page and say a couple of nice words in support of Rob and Shirley?

Thanks a lot!

Reply from I-5:

I-5 Toyota/Ford/Scion Hey Tom, thanks for letting us know that there's so much support out there for Rob and his wife. For now we're just running the contest on Facebook and there's no voting per se (we'll go through all the submissions and management will determine the winner) - but we're definitely moved by their story and what a great support network they have
Sorry!

Dear world.

Thank you, I feel like I just got let out of jail. I feel like a huge boulder I have been carrying has been lifted off of my shoulders and I can fly. I haven't felt this at ease in years...it feels so good to be back . Not sure where life is going to go from here but the road looks good and it feels good to behind the wheel again.
