Glad you have folks working on it, Brian - you want to catch and hopefully reverse that stuff as soon as you can so you don't end up in the middle of the floor like a beetle on it's back (been there, done that).

All I can say is DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU. (Sorry 'bout yelling, but...)

Need something, call...

ohh i'm really slow with all the posting, as you will see in your "see you later" thread...but any way...that is REALLY good to hear that things are fixable, keep an eye out while using advair, its known to cause pneumonia, both my grandpa and friends dad used it for a couple months and both contracted pneumonia and after doing a search online about advair it seems its common

Yeah, Advair is dangerous, but so long as it's watched carefully it should be OK...

One great thing about all the meds they gave me is the Chantix.....you are supposed to smoke the first 7 days with it,today i smoked anly 3.5 smokes total.....and even that was forcing it.....pretty amazing but it is an expensive medicine.....$150 a month, still cheaper than smoking though....but really no urge to smoke at all today after taking it.....finally something that seems to work.

Well after more and mroe tests today,I got some more results........and the news is good......I will live.

But............

I have to continue not smoking, continue my inhaler for my lungs, totally restructure my diet, exercise daily at least 30 minutes, lower booze consumption, less stress,no fat,no sugars........and no cholestoral.

If I do all that I will get better, they did ultrasound of lungs and heart today and stress tests, right side of heart is enlarged, but the doctor said that is normal from smoking.

Pain in my chest is lungs, not heart, arteries are good, slight leakage from two valves, but that is normal from smoking.

Arm most likely is pinched nerve and not from heart issue.....

So all in all I got to pay thousands of dollars the last two weeks to be told I am fat, lazy, eatbad, drink too much, and smoke too much.......lol

But I will live........

More seriously - you can get a lot better and feel a lot better.

I smoked for 40 years, had all sorts of very measurable problems from that. I quit almost ten years ago. My blood pressure in now usually around 105/70, my pulse in the 60's, my respiration about 12-15, and my blood oxygen 98-99. Not bad for an ex smoker.

Work at it, Brian. You can do it.

Just be careful with the Chantix stuff... that's been known to cause depression and suicidal thoughts.

Otherwise, glad to hear it's not something worse. Good luck!
