you need one of those big bandaid stickers to cover it all up or get one of those bras and try to cover it up.

My dad wants to take it to the dealership, but I want to try to talk him into taking it to a shop. Thanks for the offer Brad, but it won't stay down because the alignment is off, one side is pushed back to where you can't even lift the hood up.
SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR RIDE! I'm glad that you are doing okay and aren't injured too bad. Go see a doctor or head into the emergency room just to note your and your boyfriend's minor injuries. Down the road they might get worse.

There are a couple of dealerships that do body work (like Burien) but after having used them before I would DEFINITELY recommend NOT going to a dealership shop but instead going to a reputable collision center (like Thoroughbred Collision Center).

That sucks yo, glad you are okay!

In Washington when you are at fault in an accident you get an automatic ticket sent to you. Kinda sucks, the guy that hit me a few years ago was also mad when he found that out he had to pay that on top of hid deductible.

Time for a kit and CF Hood!

It does not matter where you get your estimates from your insurance companies will send out an adjuster to figure out what it will cost and they negotiate the price down with the shop. You can get a check based on the adjusters low ball of what it will cost to fix. For those of you who remember our bsp xB adjuster first said $3,500 tofix… and it went up every few weeks. It ended up costing almost 15k

If you want you can pay your deductible and have your car fixed faster instead of waiting for the other person’s insurance company to figure it all out.

Well, nothing has been happening lately other than boyfriend and I going to the chiropractor because our necks and backs are out of wack.

I got an estimate from the shop that I want work done at for a little over $2,300. The next day the other driver's insurance came over to estimate my car and they think it's only about $1,500. I don't think they included labor and paint. But the reason why nothing has been happening is because the other driver's insurance company has been playing phone tag with the owner. WHY WON"T SHE JUST PICK UP HER FREAKING PHONE?!!?!!

umm... i would leave it to ur insurance to make phone calls to the other party unless ur asking them how they're doing or stuff... and i would never answer anything if the other insurance tries to contact u. i'd tell them to give my insurance company a call.. just in case they're trying to twist stuff around

I still have my car, it just hasn't gone to the shop yet.
I KNOW not to call her. Plus if anything is needed to be said, I tell my lawyer.

I hope you learn a lot of things through your first accident experience....
I think driving that car like that is bad for your car and is not safe for others on the road.....
You can always fix through your insurance paying your deductible first and they will refund you later once they get the money from the other party so you don;t waste your time.....,
Please include rental insurance which is only prob 30$ more for six month premium...
.
.
You must have full tort insurance before you sue someone for back injuries.,..

Drive like what? I'm a responsible driver, not once have I said that I race or drive recklessly. This is my first accident and I have never gotten any tickets.

Leslie, they are trying to say something may fall off the car, or there may be a crack in your radiator or some other parts may be damaged and it could cause more damage to your car. Better safe to park it, or take it to the shop. Also if someone were to hit you again then you would not be as safe.

I had the same issue when my xB was in an accident, I ended up just paying my deductible and getting the car fixed. It took about a year but I finally got my deductible back. They will always low ball the initial estimate and then it will go up as they start working. Sometimes people just take the money without fixing their car so that is one reason they make the initial estimate low. They also don’t add in damaged parts unless they can see the damage.

If the insurance company calls you, you should talk to them, don’t ignore them or tell them to talk to your lawyer. Just make sure you tell them the same story each time. They may ask you a few times what happened to see if you change your story. If they become aggressive then definitely send them to your lawyer.

And Jen is awesome at hooking up insurance rates!

This same shet happened to me too. I couldn't wait so my insurance said I could pay the deductible and when their insurance pays them I'd get reimbursed. I ended up waiting 2 months for the other insurance to cut a check. Just wanted to share so you can be prepared.

Thanks for the info Mo! It all depends on what my dad wants to do though. But, the only damage is to my bumper, hood, and fenders. The core support is just scratched. So far the only speaking that I've done with the other insurance company is doing a recording statement with my lawyer present.
