I don't blame them for escaping Menomonie/Eau Claire...I would too! My other brother went to Eau Claire...they were lost in the land of cheeseheads for years!
(I am kidding...I have love for the cheeseheads!)

BTW, my husband is very anti-Packer. Viking fan all the way for him (he's always sad). And, oh hey, I'm wearing my Minnesota hoody as we speak!

I LOVE SNOW (and am like Jenna...a weather junkie)!!!
I don't have any snow tires or studs on right now but I love driving in snow. I usually reserve the CR-V for that (since Mo & I haven't gotten a truck yet).
I don't freak out at snow reports but instead thrive on them. It's the black ice warnings that set me off. I remember when Mo & I went to the Sundance Film Fest a couple of years ago and we were struck by how Park City, Utah (in the Rockies) was so easy to drive in. First, they have plows that constantly clear streets and they salt (like Jenna said) but they are very hilly. I think the problem with the Seattle area is that there is no salting allowed so municipalities & counties have to use that lime juice-ish mixture hoping it'll stem off icing on roads. We ice up so very fast here (especially on the hills that don't get a lot of sun which causes an ice/melt/re-ice/melt problem).
If it does snow Jenna, I agree...don't take your life in your hands. Everyone stay and drive safe!!!

I love the Snow I jsut hate what it does to work. All the guys to into children and there is usally a huge snowball fight, you never know when you walk outside wheather or not if you will get beaned in the side of the head with one of those things. And of course to beat all the car sales die a very hard death. Altho we do sell some 4x4 on those days.
But for the most part I love the snow and I have no problem diriving in it, it is just the other califonia transplants that scare the heck out of me. They really do not know how to drive in the stuff, and I usually tick everyone off and drive slowly, but I always get there.
Lol I love you Kelly and used to live in Ohio and remember the snow all to well, and have many fond memories of it. After living there and driving in it there it made me not as affraid of it any more.
The bigest problem here is that you have alot of transplants that have never seen a snow flake in thier lives and get out there and cause major accidents and then you just have a big old mess.
As for me I say "BRING ON THE SNOW"

Here's how we think Sunday's weather will play out: Most of the central Sound including Seattle will have a mix of rain and snow showers, but no accumulation. Some of the hilltops of eastern King County could get an inch or two at the most.
Areas from Everett to the north should be the big winners in the "snow derby." Anywhere from 2 to 4 inches is possible.

I'm SO very north of Everett!
And the snow is supposed to hit AFTER I do my Sunday route!

We're having serious snow! We're thinking of using it as an excuse not to go to a wedding in Seattle. But like discussed earlier in this thread, the wedding is for one of my husband's friends who is from Wisconsin. I asked my husband if the snow excuse was going to fly with him since they both grew up in snow central, lol.
We will be having some babysitter difficulties if we do go though.

We have five non-refundable tickets (at $15 a pop) to Peter Pan at the McIntyre Hall this afternoon..... and we will go! There's about 4 inches now in Concrete but they keep SR 20 plowed. This will be the big test for the PizzaBox.... (Altho it might be tempting to steal the Subie Outback from the delivery crew.)
