Default Just got my flywheel on!!

So I just got my lightweight flywheel and clutch on. All I can say is it's scary how fast that little engine revs up! One negative thing is the clutch is very "grabby" but hopefully that will stop the slipping that I was getting from the OE clutch. In case anyone was on the fence about doing this yourself it's not bad if you have access to a lift it takes around two and a half hours.

Where did you purchase the flywheel clutch combo from?
At what price are we looking?
Yes it grabs, do you think it would better your quarter mile time?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I found some okay deals on the web but ended up buying locally from horsepower freaks. It was fairly expensive like 300 for the flywheel and 350 for the clutch. As for as quarter mile times I would think so the engine revs up so fast you have to shift from 1st to 2nd within 2 seconds if you just jam the throttle.

Yes I drive the box most of the time, but sometimes I drive this old beater pick-up due to rock chips. But yes it is to answer your question.

So, is this fast spin up and grabby clutch annoying or fun? Does it improve the daily drive or just the track performance?

It was a bit bazarre at first the (grabby clutch) but once you get used to it, it's pretty easy to do a quick one wheel burn-out. Haven't had it out on the track yet the next day is May 5, but I did race a 6cyl yellow mustang on padden parkway and won, suprisingly.
