I have been worried about you guys for a while now, but figured you would update when you could.
I am so sorry to hear about the bad reaction. The chemo drugs can be very scary, and very frustrating.
If either of you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask. I have lots of time on my hands right now, and I have been through this ordeal before. I know how hard it is to get basic things done, like grocery shopping, laundry, etc when you are spending all of your time at various doctors offices/hospitals.
I am thinking of you both...

Rob both you and your wife are in my prayers and thoughts as you go through this horrible ordeal, I have faith that both of you will come out of this ok. And along with everybody else, please let me know if there is anything, anything at all I can do.
Take care of her Rob.
My buddy went through the same treatments and he was sick for so long he nearly went insane he said......it was horrible, same thing....sick all day and night, could not eat,itched,tired,dizzy........but he is now about 4 years later and free and clear.......
Well, got the results of the bone marrow biopsy yesterday, the cancer is in there also. Doctor said that they are going to continue with the meds that they started with. She will now be doing chemo over two days, instead of one. She is going back to work today on very light duty. They are going to find some filing for her to do or help out at the front desk rather than be back in the kitchen. Thats it for now, go see a nutritionist Thurs. to try to get some weight on her, still losing weight.
Just a quick update, Shirley had treatment on monday and had two more reactions to the Rituxan that they were giving her, so they aren't doing it anymore. That will shorten her treatment day, but may have to have more treatments. Right now they have her scheduled for 6, so 4 more for sure. They will probably want another bone marrow biopsy towards the end to make sure that it is gone there. Her lymph nodes have reduced in size quite a bit from the first treatment so that is good, and she went back to work on thursday, so she isn't letting it slow her down. She has cut her hair very short because it started falling out about a week ago and has a few cute hats that she is wearing now. She has gained 4 lbs. in the last 3 weeks, so that is good too. Thanks for your well wishes. I would post a pic of her that I took at the cancer center, but she would kick my butt if I did, so I won't, lol.
Well, another quick update. As some of you all ready know, we ended up in the ER on Sunday, Shirley has had a fever since Wed, and the doctor decided she needed to be there. Well, yesterday she had an appointment with her primary doc and he checked her out, still running a fever after a week so they decided she needed stronger antibiotics and admitted her to the hospital yesterday afternoon. Stopped in to see her on my way home from work last night, it took them forever to give her the IV with the meds in it and she is thinking that they are going to keep her for another night to get more meds in her thru the IV. She is set for another round of chemo this Monday. She was suppose to have it last Monday, but with the fever they couldn't give them to her. I'm getting ready to head over to the hospital here soon, just wanted to let everyone know what was up, more later.
I need a dog sitter, lol.

Awww, Rob, I am so sorry.
Tell Shirley to stay strong. It is really rare to be able to get all chemo treatments as scheduled. Most people go through bouts of really low blood counts, or fevers. I know it feels like such a setback, but she just needs to take it one step at a time.
Hang in there...

Yeah, they have been watching her blood counts all weekend and they have been really good, which means her body is fighting the pnemonia. Her blood pressure dropped really low over night and it sounds like she will be there until at least tomorrow, maybe longer. They want to get more of the antibiotics into her thru the IV before sending her home. Thank god for insurance.
Wow, its been a while since the last update, I'm falling behind, lol. Shirley had her last treatment yesterday, now we wait for a few weeks and then she goes in for more scans to make sure they got it all, then we go from there, hoping for the best. Her blood count has been great thru all this, so that is good, and she has gained weight, so that is good also, and her hair is growing back already, little fuzz head. Well, I'll post up when we get the scans and results, thanks for everyones support and prayers.
