Default Lincoln ProSolo Highlights

This weekend I did the SCCA National ProSolo. For those of you who have not been to a national level autocross competition (like myself), they start you off on a drag race before plunging into the actual autocross course. It was ridiculous.

So they reserve the Friday before competition to let people practice the drag start. For people like me who have never done it before, they spend that day teaching how to read the christmas tree lights and what to do for the drag. I was afraid the tranny wouldn't be able to take it (since the car was never designed to be anything high performance) but I said screw it. So far there have been 32 successful launches on the tranny without any problems *knock on wood*. There was one guy that blew up his tranny on Sunday though but I think he had over 200 launches and had a lot more HP than I did.

Anyways, here is a highlight reel that I made with my hand held and car mounted camera.

Thanks to David at www.gotcone.com for taking great photos of my car. You can check out the rest of his 1800 photos that were taken from the event here for all of you car nuts. He captured all the competitors.

I hope everyone over there is doing well!

Yeah you'll notice that the first attempt against the EVO IX (400+HP) was a disaster, but it was badass to be so close to it as it blew by me . The mini was much more my type to tangle with. I finished last in my class because I was classed up with the EVOs and STIs. There wasn't enough people to fill up the normal class that I'm usually in, so they grouped me and the mini up with these AWD monsters. It was fun though to say the least!
