Default Lowering springs for xD's? Best?

Ok, I've had my xD for just over a year now and besides adding a five axis kit and the rear sway bar it's stock.

I've been razzed (thanks Rob ) enough about not having it lowered, so which springs are best for ride? I don't want much drop, and it's my daily driver.

I'm also looking at getting 17" wheels, possibly TC, and would like to know which tires are best for our climate (western WA).

I'm not impressed with the stock tires as they give off to much road noise. My goal is to get a tire that will limit road noise, wear well, have no rubbing issues, and won't cost an arm or leg.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Jon

lol, you're welcome. TRD springs will give you a nice drop but not too much to change the ride. TRDSparks has them for $205. May want to cruise the classifieds to see if anyone has a used set for the xD on there. There are others out there, Sprint makes an inexpensive spring, drop is lower than the TRD's, but not sure on the ride quality.Tanabe and I think Eibach each have springs that are great quality, lower drop than the TRD's and I've heard that the Tanabe's don't lose ride quality, but can't say for sure. As for tires, everyone has their favorites, I have Kumho AST's and am very happy with them, I don't hear any road noise, but that could be because of the stereo volume, lol. We will have to hook up so that you can check them out.

Hey Rob, couple things;

I found a set of TC rims, (meeting a guy Friday and picking those up) and I also found a set TRD springs from a forum member (getting those when he changes out to different springs).

Yeah, I need to see your car again and check out all your mods. I get updates from your brother at work.

Pm me your work schedule and we'll hook up.

Thanks for the info, Jon
