I like that setup... just signed up in the Portland and PNW sections... I wish more of the local guys would get up on that... it's nice to see the RSVP and such on the section.

I'm one of the few 'up here' who use it - would be nice if it's use became more common, but...

The guy that put up the portland one is not one of the regular group. I traded emails with him when I signed up but he has not replied in awhile. I'm not sure if he will be updating with events. I am thinking about starting one myself for the portland area, so I can post our events up.

I do like the features alot. The weekly email of other stuff in your area is always interesting.

I've also traded emails with the guy who did the Portland one. He hasn't responded to me in a while either. He didn't seem really into m&gs and events but more what the "meetup" culture is. I just included PDX events on mine because I didn't think he was really doing anything with his.

Glen if you want to start one, I can set it up for you under my "accoutn" because each paid acct ($75/6 months) gets to start 3 meetups. I only have the 1 so you can use one of mine.

Do you want to start a new one different than the other Portland guy? Or do you want to ask to take his over?

Also, some of the great features (aside from the email notices which can get overwhelming for some) is that it'll auto post to Craigslist and area newspapers (given enough advance time) as well as giving you templates for flyers/tear-offs/etc.
