Doug...Kelly & I were there at the Kurt Cobain's memorial too!!! Kelly caught her hair on fire on a candle someone was holding behind her.

I remember that day clearly...the day the electrician called into The End about what he had seen. We decided not to go to school and instead started driving up to Seattle. Sad day...sad day...

Does anyone here remember concerts at the old Mercer Arena (as opposed to the Key Arena)? Great ones like Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, etc.

NW Concerts during the '89-'94 time frame were the best!!!

My favorites:
1989 KGRG Concert with NIRVANA!!!

1993 Bumbershoot with Barenaked Ladies opening for Violent Femmes and the Mudhoney concert with the famous phrase "This may be the Miller Genuine Draft Colleseum but I'm a Colt 45 man myself" (remember...the Colleseum is the old name for the Key Arena).

I was in 9th grade in Covington. Second floor, under a desk with a 'popular' girl holding onto me for dear life crying. lol

5. Wild Waves... is it just because we're older now that we notice how nasty the place is, cleanliness wise, or is this a recent thing?

Only been once, but everytime I drive by I wonder when they'll tear it down!

Nope, but I work with people who CANNOT say Washington without the 'r'. It's quite annoying.

Every year since I was old enough! I particiapate FULLY every year, thank you very much ;) The year before last blew cuz they weren't selling any smoking apparatus.. But yes, I love the music, food and people watching! You can't live in Seattle and NOT go to Hempfest.. Come on- even Woody Harrolson has been known to show up

Jenn:I was working up in federal way, I remember my boss (a big ol black guy) sprint right past my desk, I tell you what I have never in my life seen a black man turn THAT white lol. But that day totally sucked I freaked an got in my car to go get my son from daycare and once I got there nobody was there.....tell ya what I almost had a darn heart attack I was crying, screaming and punching things because I didn't know where my child was................
Mike: He was in class that day (that's all he told me)

Jenn: It's been stinky nasty and over priced as far back as I remember, it's a rare occasion I take my kids there (why waste money when my parents live on lake tapps and have boats and sea doo's)
