Here's the bike I was talking about, not exactly what everyone was expecting I think!

It's my new 2011 1TP (Tyler Power) Specialized Secteur Elite road bike. It's got some nice carbon elements as well

Here's some pics!

down is easy, it's the up that sucks, and is pretty difficult.

so far i've gone 26mi on burke-gilman and then again 40mi on the same trail a few days later, then today i went around mercer island with my parents who have been cyclists my whole life so they're having a blast showing me the ropes and were super excited i wanted a bike in the first place.

my friend Steve whom some of you know actually bought a similar bike to the one i just got (his is a little more aggressively stanced than mine) a few weeks back and got me interested in riding with him but without a bike obviously, it wasn't going to happen, so i brought it up, offered some cash toward it, and i've got a bike! so yay.

i really really like it, it's super nice and i'm totally done growing so it'll be with me for a long time, also it's amazing exercise, my calves love me.

i'm 200, my tires look just fine!

i'm trying to get down to like 160-170 and maintain it with a healthier more active lifestyle with better eating choices and such. most of losing weight is your diet, can't exercise and eat crap, nothing will change.

I actually wouldn't hate training for the STP for next year, that's basically me and my friend Steve's goal.

Fortunately for us, these bikes can be had for like 500-whatevertheeffyouwanttospend, mine was a hair under 1300, and that's basically the price point you want to shop at say all the shops. You're going to get an awesome bike with great specs and a great frame that'll last a very long time so yeah.

So I just got back from the gym so I'm gross, so I'm going to shower!

It's pretty awesome and I've been continuously surprised how little the overall feel of the car/driveability has remained the same. Even my mileage has remained roughly the same which is crazy to me...excellent tuning by the guys at Carb Conn for sure.

Step on the fun pedal and the whole thing changes. The car WANTS to run now as opposed to being made to run. I'm hoping for a trip to the track soon so I can really stretch the new legs.
