Default Some promises are hard to keep...

so today i was doing PDI (predelivery inspection) on the new shipment of cars that we got in at work... well i turned around and guess what i got to do PDI on... a GTO 6.0. now have you ever noticed how no matter how new your car is there is always between 2 and 10 miles on it... well thats because we drive them to make sure there are no immediate defects... so after the inspection me and mr GTO went for a little ride... and damn is that car sweet. i was like "wow its really hard to still want my tC after driving this bad boy". i got back to the shop and sent the GTO away with a tear in my eye... then when i turned around again, luck be a lady tonight, the next PDI car was a solstyce GTP... soooo... today after work i started working with one of the loan officers to see if i can afford the solstyce GTP... the funny thing is that for me its only gonna cost 16,470... thats like 30 dollars cheaper than a tC. and thats the 2.0 liter turbo ecotech one... its just ***** out fast... so even though i promised that i wouldnt sell my tC... it very well may happen in the very near future... sorry... its a really sweet car.

I followed a black GTO home from portland a couple weeks ago.. Without a doubt, the only pontiac I would buy... That car is just plain sweet.. The beautiful thing about the one I followed, was the guy driving it, drove it the way it suppose to be driven... Flat hauling ___....

I test drove an Evo IX MR yesterday, I know exactly how you feel.

I'll be setting terms with the sales guy tomorrow, I think. If he can find what I want, I'm going to get it.

well the sales guy talked me into a test drive today and i was like "damn... if i test drive it... i'll buy it..." the opposite happened... when the shock and awe of driving it for the first time wore off i started noticing things... like the fact that the pontiac solstyce was not made for someone who is 6 foot and some change... first off when i closed the door i smashed my hip between the seat and the door... then when i was bareling down the on ramp at one point i had trouble letting out the clutch cause my knee hit the steering wheel... my seat was all the way back and i still had trouble getting out of the damn thing... so i decided to stick with my ever so roomy tC...

Someone going F/I? I can help you as well.... don't forget me, I'm going to be all up on the learning curve and able to help, if that's the case.... This winter, my tC will be going through some major changes as well...

I loved the solstice at first as well.... but similiarly couldn't maintain that love after the pontiac lack of detail got to me....

actually tim to be completely honest i have no idea what brads big mod is for the winter... i have had so much goin on i cant remember what he told me it was... but actually the solstyce is quite clever... even to the point where they focused not just on front to back balance but also on side to side... the battery is on the opposite side of the all the fluid reservoirs.... and i like how the hood goes up... it would be really cool to put some sort of mechanism on it to raise it by remote... hey werent you trying to figure how to do that... j/k. no but i really like the car and if i were say 6 inches shorter i would own one.

I saw the reverse hood and fell in love.... I have one hinge done, but waiting till next year to finish, as my engine is still undergoing major changes and will through the winter, so it's not worth doing the mod at this point....

im tellin ya... if toyota/scion have any sense at all they are gonna jump on the drift band wagon and make an affordable FR car thats worth a damn... because as of right now a honda has the s2000, nissan the 350z, GM the sky/solstyce, and so on but the problem is that none of them are affordable for the younger generation...

does that pontiac have dual exhuast? My neighbor has the saturn version and it looks weird without that second exhuast tip. And is it an option to get a removable hard top.

ummm.. no the solstyce is not dual... not even the GTP is... and no there is not an option for a hard top but i am sure its only a matter of time (maybe its already out there) for a hard top.
