Default sub woofer blew

well last night when i got off of work i put in a dmx cd to bump to and well lets just say that one of the songs well hit way to hard and then my sub stopped working

so when i got home i thought oh snap i must have blown a fuse in the amp or some where else so i went and checked to see if my amp was still on and sure enuff it was all running. so i pulled the sub out and the magnet was like all hot and the sub must be toast heck that thing has lasted me a good 3 year. so now i am off to go and spend the money that was going to go towards finishing off my exhaust and buy a new sub because hell i cant go rolling around town with no bumps no my question to you guys is well i have found a MEMPHIS AUDIO 15-PR12D4 12" 500W CAR SUBWOOFER SUB NEW on ebay for around $90 so i am first going to go to best buy and circuit city, and car toys and check prices and was wondering does anyone know of audio places like in tacoma that sell name brand subs for cheap or ones that are on sell

thanks

I blew my first sub with dmx too haha (i was having a really bad night). I only had mine for 3 days 'fore i killed it . course a w3v2 is a bad pairing for a 1200 watt amp. Went out and bought a w6 the next day with a extended warrany first one lasted 3 years, turned it in on warranty and ive had my current one for 3+ years.

Goodluck finding a sub ive got an 12" alpine s10 sitting in my closet...i wonder if my wife wants to sell it...

may i suggest upgrading to a m3 subwoofer from memphis car audio if you like to bump. the PR hits hard also, but if you just want to whale on bass the m3 to me does the job easily =)

I would sell you one of my dozen of subs I have in my closet for dirt cheap but they are geared for SQ rather than SPL. What is your amp and how much is it pushing RMS?

Sound Advice of Everett is having a Memphis sale now. Search on craigslist for prices.
