arco
ummmmmmmm does it matter?
idk bout the small mom and pop shops but most gas stations like chevron, arco, mobile, 76 get there fuel from the same two biggest distributors here in california..... united oil or SC fuels. And yes you might be sayin "well i see the big 76/Chevron/Shell tankers delivering fuel so your wrong"....im not. where ever you go your getting the same gas.

there is a difference in the additives or in Arco's case, the lack there-of. There's different "tiers" of gasoline that car manufactures approve of, I know this because my friend used to pump garbage Arco gas all the time because he was broke. His car then broke and per GM, the car was covered underwarranty and he was given a memo or something stating that it was because he used low quality gasoline.
You know how Shell advertises the less gunk stuff? Well I bet that Arco leave alot of deposits and whatnot in your injectors.
Also, when I used to pump Arco when I was in highschool, I noticed worse performance than if I pumped with Chevron or 76. I guess it depends on your driving, but I wouldn't ever pump Arco in anything I owned unless it was a beat down hoopty.

i use to use arco when i was in high school and quickly learned that my old car didnt idle as smooth AND my gas mileage was crappier with arco in comparison to shell, chevron,or 76. no i wasnt lead footing it with arco. i was driving about the same. I was averaging 5mpg crappier with arco than the other brands.
its weird cause there are so many stories of how crappy arco gas is.
but somehow my aunt told me this and everyday arco is constantly trading gas with other companies. so everyday the truck could have a shell logo on it but it really has arco gas and vice versa...its all a business and you never know which gas from what company is in that gas truck..i dont know if this practice still exists because she doesnt work for arco anymore

Like i stated above, all the major gas stations order from the 2 biggest dist here in socal.
Thats SC fuels and United Oil. So if you go to 76 for example and think your getting 76 gas....for all you know, you might be getting the same gas the Arco down the street does.
