After reading people's responses I'm not trying to bash cops in anyway, was just trying to inform you all about keeping a low profile.

I get pulled over alot and it is mostly for fix it ticket stuff. If your cool to the cop and just show them some respect they will be cool with you and work with you. All the times I have gotten pulled over they gave me warnings and did not assign me a fix it ticket or asked me to open the hood for an inspection. They have a job to do just like we have jobs that we get paid to do.

As long as you dont try & b.s. with them then everyone should be fine.

In my honest opinion I wish they would understand that car enthusiast with hunreds ot thousands of $$$ put into there car are really not the ones doing the racing and illegal activities. We're the ones that just want to hang out and have a good time and chill with other car lovers.

But on the flipside, many people wouldn't even know about the import scene if it weren't for those movies.

I was always a domestic Chevy guy that hated on "rice rockets". After seeing FATF? Changed my perspective. I was just lucky enough to buy a scion instead of a honda for my first tuner car, otherwise, I'd probably be revving at lights with jDm mUfFlErS!!11eleven

HAHA. Toretto Stop! Fox Undercover started covering the import scene back in 98 in Ontario and Comption street races. Totally gave us a negative image right there. All they showed were Hondas and Acuras. Cops don't know the difference, BUT they are going through training right now. Some city agencies like Chino Hills, Ontario, Rialto (I think), so agencies in SD have a street racing task force that just looks for illegally modified vehicles. In 1999-2000, I had 16 fix it, 1 evading arrest, 1 speed contest, 1 participating in illegal activity, and my favorite numerous violation code that says my headlights are too low w/ a lowering ticket. I sure learned my lesson from the Honda scene. lol. Since then.....I've been spot free.

Just an FYI. There are laws that cover most everything being discussed here. You can read about them here.

If you dont already know ...

http://smogcheck.ca.gov/

No more State REF, and BAR!

For now..

They will still issue tickets. Just paying the fee is the only option now.

LOL it's not me preaching, just the facts. It sucks for me because a performance sticker on the side of your car can be considered probable cause. So now I have been telling my customers to think hard on what you really want in your roll calls.

yup that is true. But dont ever encourage the "clean" look because you will be out of business. lol.

I actually had the Anaheim PD Anniversary sticker on my Civic awhile back and still got nailed for my ride. lol. Oh cops business cards do work sometimes, BUT if you get an Old School cop he would get ____ed even more thinking you will get away with it especially when he is higher ranked than your father or relative or friend that is a cop.

after reading this, i realized something a couple days ago...

I was with my dad in my mom's gti (08, oem 18's, 5% tint on the back, 35% on the front, debadged gti emblems) and we were leaving the hospital, and a cop pulls us over for "Failure to signal" coming out of the parking lot, when there was 1 car on the road. now, is it me or is that just BS?

There going to be picky about every little thing now.

As for us having modified vehicles are easy targets and on top of the $h!t List, since its easy to spot us and about a 100% chance they can find something on the car they can give us a ticket for.

Lol, you're kidding me right?

The entire nation is green. Period. Concepts like safety, Racism, Sexism, Due process, and everything is more or less a front. If they can make money off of you, they'll find a way to do it.

Take street racing for example, they continually tell you how dangerous it is when in actuality, less than 200 deaths occur NATIONWIDE per year. However, when you look at deaths related to alcohol consumption or even cell phone use, the number of deaths climbs is over 1,000 higher!

Are they going to eliminate alcohol consumption? Absolutely not, because alcohol is taxable. Are they going to get rid of cell phones? Nope, because majority convience allows for acceptable loss. Deaths are ok as long as the majority benefits.

Since we that mod our cars are in the minority, they target us under the disguise of "safety".

It's all BS.
No I am not kidding I was on the waiting list and passed my Police exam back in the 90's. Cops have a job to do and there are good one s and bad ones just like every where else in every industry Or one we just do not like cause they ruined our day but are good cops My motive to wanting to be a Cop was I felt I could make a diff. I have a good sense of honestly an integrity. That is def. not a joke and lost friends over it. I was also attracted to the great long term benefits and being a non-citizen has it's perks. However there are politics here and the mere fact that police have a quota to fill leads to human error and some will look for what ever they can to give out big $$ tickets. Money is the route to all evil?

This situation is what is a tad BS to me. I agree we are a minority and maybe in time more laws will be put into place to protect us but for now I think even the good cops or cops that are our friends will be put under pressure to help save there department or jobs in the dapartment. Not good.

IT's called STEREOTYPING
we hate them theyhate us. it's really that simple.
why? becoz of other idiots who can't play fair and ruin it all for us. same thing with cops. They are hated becoz of other cops who don't play fair.

dis is the whole reason why I dont go to dumb meet and greets and joining a club. There will always be some tard messing it up. It can be someone from the club or just someone being dumb to catch your eye. Just like awhile back, I went to some meet in Burbank. It was cool for the 1st 5 min then, just went south from there. Oh well I guess keep layin low.
