this brings up a good question for me. i don't know much about the flywheel, but you mentioned that you're too quick for the car. when you shift, if you shift too fast, will the flywheel prevent you from shifting because the rpms aren't low enough, causing the gears to grind a little if you push it into gear anyways?
emokid
what i mean what i said i am too quick for the car is that i have to patiently wait for the rpm to drop then i let go of the clutch
when you said 'if you shift too fast will the flywheel prevent you from shifting..causing the gears to grind'
you are probably thinking about the clutch
the flywheel will not prevent you from shifting and has nothing to do with grinding
its just when the revs don't watch the shift will be jerky

but with the flywheel being lighter, the rpm's drop faster so the shift will be smooth...correct?
i guess i'm having multiple problems, when my shift is complete, the rpm's are at 3500. and sometimes i can't put it into the next gear when the rpms are still at 4000. but maybe my synchro's are bad too or something because sometimes my 2nd-3rd grinds (but maybe that's because the pedal covers are preventing me from pushing the clutch all the way in)
dang i think i need some help haha. sorry for the slight thread jack. i'm done.
why don't you take it to the dealer for the work?
